Jubilife Village
"Hey, wake up!" a voice said, followed by Kjolmar slowly opening his eyes. He had the weirdest dream. In front of him was standing a man with an odd hat and a lab coat. "Oh good, you're awake!" the man said to him. "Your Chimchar was way easier to wake up than you. Say, dear boy, may I ask who you are? I don't think I've seen you before in Jubilife Village."
Kjolmar felt slightly confused. "You mean Jubilife City, right?" While he asked that question, he subconsciously looked around and noticed right away everything looked very different. It didn't look like Jubilife City at all. Meanwhile his trusty partner Chimchar climbed on his shoulder.
"City?" the man asked with clear confusion. "We are merely a village. But what a village! In just two years we managed to build it from scratch."
Two years? Something was very off. Kjolmar looked around but didn't seem to recognize anything. Where did the tv station and the contest hall go? As Kjolmar looked at Chimchar, he saw that his partner noticed it too. Realizing that he still hadn't introduced himself to the man, he decided to engage in the conversation and hopefully get some answers. "My name is Kjolmar. I think I got lost somehow but I'm not completely sure how I got here. Last thing I remember is that I left Sandgem Town with Chimchar but it got a bit blurry after that."
The man frowned at him. "I don't know about a Sandgem Town but I can give you directions to a place called the Sandgem Flats, if you are interested. Oh, how rude of me to ask about your identity without introducing myself. I am Professor Laventon. I came all this way from Galar to Hisui to assist the Galaxy Team in exploring Hisui. I am currently developing a device I call the Pokédex, a sort of data tool for Pokémon if you wish."
Hisui? Things only got weirder. Not only did Kjolmar find himself in a place that resembled Sinnoh, there was also a different professor and there seems to be little to no knowledge here what a Pokédex is. And did he mention he was part of a Galaxy Team? That sounds a whole lot like Team Galactic! Was this professor a villain? Kjolmar decided to hold back on judgment until he found out more about what was going on. "Well, nice to meet you, Professor Laventon. Do you happen to be a colleague of Professor Rowan? Oh, wait, you said you are originally from Galar. Do you know Professor Magnolia or Sonia?"
Laventon shook his head. "I'm afraid none of those names ring any bells for me. Say, I have an idea. Maybe we can help each other. If you make some observations for me for the Pokédex, I can teach you all about Jubilife Village and the Galaxy Team. They are always looking for new recruits. Come, you must be starving. Join me at The Wallflower for some food. Beni makes the best potato mochi's. I bet Chimchar will love them too."
Chimchar seemed very exited about the suggestion and Kjolmar nodded in agreement. As they arrived at The Wallflower, there was something about the owner that seemed familiar. He looked a lot like Wally from Hoenn.
"Beni doesn't just own The Wallflower, he is also the right hand man of the leader of the Galaxy Team, Commander Kamado." Laventon explained. He then showed a picture of Commander Kamado. Kjolmar couldn't believe it, the Commander looked so much like Professor Rowan! But Laventon had never heard of Professor Rowan, right? Every answer brought more questions.
