All characters must be written/played as at least 21 years old (if not established as already older).
I like to ret-con the setting so characters must be 18 years old before they can become a Pokémon trainer, Coordinator or whatever.
Good (morning/afternoon/evening), one and all! I won't take up too much of your time: I'm presently seeking a few lines set in the Pokémon universe! In general, I prefer starting off with a one-shot or short-term RP and then expanding long-term if we mesh, rather than assuming a long-term line from the outset.
Tone-wise, I'm seeking something wholesome and noblebright dipped in fluff and highspirited adventure (which isn't the same as plotless), with a shamelessly playful, lighthearted and comedic vibe fitting the anime. (Dark and gritty or angst-drenched drama aren't my bag, I'm afraid.) Highspirited adventure, copious tongue-in-cheek humor and comedy, intense battles, levity, hardedged "Eff you!" positivity, smutty moments (specifics can be discussed over PMs), non-toxic rivalries with an iron sharpening iron mentality (the pair being spirited competitors with an intense yet cordial rivalry that can even be a form of courtship or flirting), fluffy goodness, quiet moments of character growth, people being capable of warmth, compassion and empathy (even if oddly/poorly displayed), long-form relationships that grow without shoehorned melodrama, and—above all else—a general sense of fun (the characters openly enjoying each other's company and the situations they find themselves in). You know, that sort of thing. :)

Let me quickly note what I request from prospective partners:
◓ Willingness to play a switch female character! (A partner's RL gender doesn't matter to me at all.)
I'm looking to play largely "switch" males (art/anime/2D faceclaims only) who aren't rigid subs or doms. One male OC I'd love to play is viewable in this Google Doc, though I'm certainly open to creating others and customizing to please a partner.
◓ A fairly up-to-date familiarity with the Pokémon universe!
I don't require that partners have Bulbapedia-level knowledge of the setting; I certainly don't. That said, we likely wouldn't be compatible if it’s been years since you last played any of the games or watched the anime.
◓ Willingness to write semi-descriptive, over-the-top Pokémon battles (where Pokémon are merely KO'd, rather than maimed or killed)!
Putting creative spins on attacks, ignoring the games' "Four Moves of Doom" limit in lieu of a Pokémon being able to use (and potentially learn) many of their given moves...I like doing those sorts of things and prefer that partners do the same.
◓ At least two solid paragraphs a post (3rd-person POV, past-tense) and general pride in one's writing!
I typically write 2-4 solid paragraphs a post, though have a tendency to go ham with openers. (Some writing samples are viewable on this Doc.) I don't demand perfection and am unable to provide it on my end, but I do proofread and put solid effort into my posts and ask that partners do the same.
◓ One or two replies a week (a preferred but not rigidly mandatory pace)!
"Laidback" is my general preferred frequency; I have no problem waiting for considerable periods between replies if partners let me know what's going on and keep me in the loop. After a month of unexplained radio silence, I will consider a line done.
◓ OOC chillness and transparency!
I enjoy OOC chatter, geeking out over lines, and sharing story-related media with partners; I vibe with those who do the same. And if you need to pause the line/put it on hiatus for whatever reason--or want to call it a day--I ask that you let me know that too. :)

There's a specific female character "type" I'm looking for partners to play: Strong-minded, confident, capable, adventurous Action Girls (ideally in a Strong Girl x Smart Guy duo).

In general, the classic Pokémon journey is always a personal fave for an overarching plot. (I admit preferring an in media res approach where our characters are experienced rather than just starting out their journey, doing small flashbacks and timeskips when/if needed.) I'd be interested in a rom-com deal with plenty of fluffy funtimes between two traveling trainers/Coordinators/Frontier Brains/Elite Four members/whatever crushing on each other, with plenty of lighthearted—and lightheartedly smutty—slice-of-life moments (a Pokémon capture, a tournament or festival battle encounter Meet Cute, those sorts of things).
