Itโs the start of another year of high school/college for Muse A, the child of the distinguished and notably affluent Sohma clan. Apart from their wealth and good looks, theyโve got everything they could ever possibly want. Itโs too bad that riches alone isnโt enough to solve even the biggest of problems. Doomed to carry the emotional and psychological weight of the Sohma familyโs generational โZodiac Curse,โ getting close to anyone outside of their clan is a terrifying prospect for Muse A. This is because they risk the chance of exposing a dangerous secret.
Excluding the members within their circle, if hugged by someone of the opposite sex, those afflicted by the curse will turn into their respective Chinese Zodiac animal. Almost every member of the Zodiac has had someone close to them recoil at their existence upon finding out their secret, so Muse A often purposefully rebuffs others in order to protect themselves and their family.
Enter Muse B, the average schoolboy/schoolgirl, who, unbeknownst to most people, has every reason to smile and pretend that everything is fine and that they are just dandy! Even if that couldnโt be further from the truth. Little do they know that their life is about be upended in the most unusual of ways after a chance encounter with Muse A.
Against Muse Aโs better judgement, they begin to meet with Muse B regularly until suddenly, their budding friendship becomes an intense attraction neither of them expected. In a wild twist of events, the eager wallflower risks everything to protect the person they love, and the flawless student/scholar who won't let anyone get too close is daring themselves to want it all . . .
With Muse Aโs familyโs secret in jeopardy and a clan leader who is wholly against their relationship, both muses must overcome obstacle after obstacle, some involving incredible violence and cruelty. As their story careens toward an explosive and shocking discovery, only one thing is certain: A love this devastating has no happy ending.

My name is Faye, Iโm 18 years old, female, and looking for a longterm male writer (or female writer who is comfortable with roleplaying as male characters) to roleplay with. If you couldnโt already tell, this roleplayโs premise is based heavily around the events that occur in the anime, โFruits Baskets.โ While this starter is just a barebones idea of what the roleplay will be about, the story can always be tweaked to suit your needs. The plot will center around our two characters, who are either seniors in high school or working university studentsโone of whom is a member of the Sohma family; the other, an ordinary human outside the circle. Iโll let you decide which character youโd be most comfortable with writing as! Note: This roleplay will include heavy themes of trauma, emotional/verbal/physical/psychological abuse, depression, and social anxiety.
