Well hello, there,
It's been a long while since I darkened the proverbial doorway of Roleplayerguild, and I'm not anywhere near as suave as my greeting may suggest. However, due to some free time popping up in my world, here I am excited to write with some new partners.
Rules aren't my thing - however, I do enjoy a spattering of guidelines. (I also enjoy the word spattering more than I thought.)
What I'm not looking for...
*A smutfest
*Sensitive partners that speak loudly of working together, but sulk when a situation doesn't go their way
*People that take offense to benign things and have eternally miserable characters
*Anything abusive
*Sci-Fi
Hopefully, that wasn't too painful to skim. I am an easy to get along with person, and I'll chat and plan to your heart's content. I do have a busy life, but I can post regularly most of the time. I really enjoy my partner to have a good sense of humour, as I can be a bit of a sarcastic jackass. Sorry. And as far as writing ability goes, good grammar and the ability to move the story on is all I ask for.
At the moment, I'm looking to play female, but I can play male - so who knows, I might be persuaded. The genres I enjoy are Modern and Historical. I love to read fantasy, but I dislike writing it myself. Romance is a given, but it doesn't have to be a necessity.
I prefer MxF pairings. After a stressful few months, I'd like to dive into something not too dark and depressing. Perhaps a band related story - or heck, a throw back to College days. Likewise, I enjoy a WWII setting or Tudor/Regency. I'm totally open to any suggestions that fall in-between, too.
My absolute favourite roles are:
Professor X Uni Student
Tudor King X Lady in waiting
Something Pride and Prejudice inspired
A story that involves Pirates and Nobles
I also have a vague plot for a guy and his daughter's best mate. All adults and nothing ick or weird. She's twenty ISH, he is in his forties. She's interning at his business.
All of these require character development and thought to be put into progressing the story. They are not focused on sexual relations. I'll get bored real quick if that happens.
If you think we might mesh well, feel free to give me a heckle in my PMs.
Cheers
Isla
