"You cannot trust the girl- Gracyelia- or Rowan," he responds, "and I know they've been kind to you but..."

He shakes his head.

Kadia growls upon hearing this despite herself, but she does not move from her spot at the entrance. If you tell her to do anything, she will immediately do so. She dislikes the male, even though she doesn't know he's your stepfather.

She growled at him, she was instantly angry upon hearing his words, she looked at Kadia, telling her with her eyes to get him out

Upon seeing your expression, Kadia comes forward and tells him to leave. When he does not, she lunges at him, only to be batted away. She lands on her paws and takes a different approach, dragging him out. She seems like a useful werewolf, even if she prefers to remain in her wolf form.

"Alpha Rowan will be hearing about this, Orpheus!" She uses your stepfather's name.

Your stepfather growls in annoyance but accepts that Kadia is more powerful than him and retreats back to his post at the entrance of the denning.

Her ears flick back and a shudder runs through her

Kadia returns, dips her head to you, then sits quietly outside the cave without a sound. She hardly moves except for the occasional tilt of her ears.

She lays down in a corner, her tail twitching as she thought about what her stepfather had told her

Kadia remains unmoving until Rowan approaches with Cicero. Even then, the guardian growls but is silence by Rowan's sharp word.

"Escort Cicero to the nursery, Kadia," Rowan tells her.

Kadia whines in quiet objection but obeys, escorting Cicero to the nursery as told. Rowan enters the cave without a word.

She is just in a corner, half asleep but waking when the Alpha enters

Rowan nods an unspoken greeting to you, flopping down with an exhausted sigh onto his nest.

Her tail flicked in greeting and she rested her head on her paws, her ears clicking to catch sound

Rowan sighs again as he hears Kadia's quiet, warning, growl. It's not possible to see who she is growling at, but it's at somebody.

She frowned, her ears perking

Kadia's claws can be heard scratching across the ground as the guard stands.

"I already told you no. Now leave before I force you to myself," Kadia's tone is dangerous, displaying just how seriously she takes her job.

"Oh, but Kadia. I just want to speak to my son and daughter," It's a male voice, but not the stepfather.

"I SAID NO!" Kadia snarls, almost losing her cool and her anger given away by her tone.

Her ears flicked back, worried for what had Kaida so riled

Rowan hears this and finally stands.

"Kadia. Let him in. It's alright," He orders.

Almost immediately, Kadia can be heard retreating back to her original spot as a large black male wolf pads in.

"Thank you, son. It's about time we speak again. And you, my daughter, welcome home," His second line is directed at you.

She tilted her head, confused

"I see. My son hasn't told you who you are, not as Gracye or your mother. Perfect. Then I can explain! My name is Archbold Renold. I'm your birth father," The black wolf says simply.

Rowan lays back down, silent. His ears are tilted back in a submissive manner, but not completely. He is the Alpha, but his father still is technically ranked above him.

She looked confused, her eyes showing she did not believe him

"Right. There's no need to believe me. Rowan-"

"We've established that you'll address me as everybody else does."

"Sorry, Alpha," Archbold mutters. "Who was the guard who came in here earlier?"

"Don't ask me. Ask her," Rowan didn't use your name, but Archbold knew it anyway.

"Right. Akuji, do you know who he was?"

"He was my stepfather" She answered in a quite voice, her tail swaying against the ground
