Earth 00DR274Y. Currently in the year 2203, this Earth has been under the control of the massive Monolink corporation for almost the past hundred years. While they had done some positive things like ending war and switching to newly found clean energy sources, they have also restricted the rights of all citizens, assigning them jobs at the company. With the goal of colonizing space, Monolink had begun looking for ways to power the massive machines needed for space travel. This led to them to experiment with harvesting the energy of the sun, which quickly went wrong and the sun destabilized, before exploding a week and a half later, killing all life on Earth.

Abilities/Skills:
Abner is a baseline human, with no augmentations or other powers. However he is highly trained, specifically in investigation and problem solving. Given enough time, Abner is able to find a lead on most people or items. Abner is also trained in self defense martial arts and firearms. He also has licenses to drive both ground and air vehicles.

Backstory:
Abner was born into a culture of subservience, where the only employer was Monolink, a corporation that controlled the planet Earth. Born as part of the Prince family, Abner would have a wide set of family members working different jobs in Mega-City North 4. Childhood aptitude tests would prove that Abner was ill suited for personal interactions, instead being sent to more solitary job training.

While Abner could never really understand how to connect with others, he did learn to always smile and be agreeable. This slightly helped his case with schooling, as originally he was going to be sent for data entry jobs, before being sent into criminal justice. While Monolink had gotten rid of most gangs, cartels, and mobs, there still was a little crime still occurring, mostly in the poorer mega-cities.

Abner would be sent to parse data, sending evidence and other relevant information to the actual detectives. Abner would quickly become jealous of the detectives and wished to help solve crimes. So after a lot of begging, Abner was transfered into the position of assistant detective.

Abner would surprisingly excel at this job, becoming a very good analyst and tracker, as well as skilled with a firearm. These abilities were noticed and Abner was ranked up, receiving an even bigger apartment, this one with two rooms, as well as the ad free tier of Streamlink. Things were looking good for Abner.

That was until the southwest murders. Easily the biggest case of Abner’s life, someone had killed several higher ups at Monolink. In the course of this investigation, Abner and his partner would almost catch the killer, only for him to escape, but not before killing Abner’s partner.

Not sure how to feel about this, Abner would endeavor to catch the killer. Of course then the news that the sun had become destabilized became public. People gave into despair and began killing themselves rather than having the sun kill them. Abner considered this option for himself, but was interrupted by meeting an agent of Ad Infinitum. She would offer him a new life as an agent of Ad Infinitum, away from his soon to be destroyed world. Seeing no other option, Abner would agree.

Home Reality: Earth00DR563Y; An Earth with regular politics, industry and climate, with people sowing order and chaos, peace and war in rather ordinate times. Its time came to an end due to an asteroid impact which caused the extinction of mankind in the respective universe.
Physical attributes: Standing at 192 cm high with broad shoulders and overall high muscle mass, but fairly long limbs, Francis strikes an imposing figure despite his profession. His hair is brown and short, with a couple of bangs falling loosely over his thick eyebrows and brown eyes. He has a large but finely shaped nose and a somewhat prominent chin.
Personality: One feature that immediately stands out about Francis is his stoic, level-headed persona. When engaged with a task, he has a remarkable ability to persist even through the most arduous of challenges without showing discomfort or anger, though it isn't without limits. Consequently, he has patience even for the most unreasonable patients. Beneath this phlegmatic exterior is a caring heart and a strong sense of justice. And that sense of justice being betrayed is one of the few triggers for anger in him.
Background: Francis Richardson was born to an Orthodox Christian family in Nebula City. One of the reasons he took an interest in psychology was the fun he had studying people, the way they talk, the way they walk and why they react the way they do. However, the trigger for him studying the science seriously was the suicide of his high school classmate. He vowed to save those who found themselves in similar predicaments. Fast-forward to the end of his studies and his doctor's degree, Francis is married to his college classmate and long-time girlfriend, Melanie Richardson (nee Johnson). Right after their wedding, they were prompted to leave their home world by an Ad Infinitum agent, who warned them that an asteroid would strike their Earth, creating a global extinction event that would signal the end of mankind as they knew it. In return for having his life saved, Francis serves as an agent of Ad Infinitum, but he has suspicions about the organization having the people's best interests in mind.
Abilities/Skills:

• High body strength: acquired mostly from weightlifting exercises and calisthenics, and through playing waterpolo in high school and college.
• Martial arts proficiency: Another thing he trained in high school: he gravitated from aikido to karate to kickboxing. He's also very well-versed in the weakspots of the human body.

• Psychology knowledge: even without Mind-reading, he's very good at using subtle manipulation to wear his opponents out.
