The land, floating haughtily above the ancient ocean below hosts a mirade of people's and their interests. Worshiping the gods for their given blessings, nurturing the land and returning what has been given under the new kingdom of Iri founded only two generations ago. However in the eyes of many groups, it is high time for some change to be occuring.

The rulers have seemingly lost the mandate of heaven! A plague kills those on the islands edges, giant birds, once confined to the coastlines have begun terrorizing inner villages, and worst of all the priestesses of the ocean goddess's temple have sealed themselves away without word. We can only guess what the groups effected may do next.

Hello everyone whose made it this far, welcome to an idea that has been rattling around in my brain for a year or so. This is currently named Colliding interests because that is what you as roleplayers will be. Each group member will take on the role of a different interest group regarding the Kingdom of Iri. I expect this to mean having a small cast of important characters, 2-4, and a larger cast of more... let's say disposable party members per roleplayer and each of their sections marked out in a single post. Each groups agenda, how each character would attend to these agendas and their messy interpersonal relationships would really be up to you the players, as you collaborate within this kingdom in a game of politics, alliances, and betrayal.

Currently I have only a few groups of interest premade though pending player interest all can really be changed. First are the Royalists who support the current political system and it's rulers, the temple of the ocean goddess who seek to carry out her wishes, the anti-royalists who wish to dispose the current rulers and take over the crown believing they have the mandate of the gods to rule, and the outer rings region a collection of people's from out islands who wish to cure the jumping plague which affects them more often.

As the DM of the RP I will be making larger setting changes, summary posts keeping track of major relationship changes and events happening between the factions, and playjng as any non-assigned faction members when necessary.

However before I write a whole post for this I want to see if this is an interesting concept to you all. If you have any questions or ideas please let me know them here. I will be keeping RPG on my phone so I cannot lose it.i may post more about the setting at a later date.

Now who is ready for this game of strategy on lands far above the water!

Is this going to be a Game of Thrones style game? Cause if so, I'd love to hear more! I love the idea of multiple factions tearing at each other, scheming, waring and allying, politics in way. What kind of creative freedom will players have with their factions? Races, political, outlaws?

Yes! Game of thrones style political groups indeed.

For creative freedom I'd say much of what had occured in the past, what each group's goals are, what each major players motivations and personal goals are, intra and intergroup relationships, any advancements /innovations mad over the course, and probably more. Race wise I don't think there will be more than ethnicities of the people available.
