Firstly, yes. Colour IS in fact spelt correctly.
Anyway, about 10+ years ago I got into a roleplay with a few others on the premise made by another person where a nation had lost it's colour due to the tyrannical rulership of the Black King (the military was based on chess pieces, knights, rooks, pawns etc) and his passive ability to sap the literal colour from all life. It was up to the players to discover their inner colour and fight the regime. Obviously the colours also represented their dominant emotion and gave them unique powers/abilities.
I'd be looking to resurrect this theme as it was pretty fun. For anyone interested, I'm happy with the premise above but would be happy to discuss other ideas.
My only condition is that I get to be the colour yellow....
