No matter how many people will say otherwise, Yuta Okkotsu from Jujutsu Kaisen is literally best boy. There's no other male fictional characters, both from other stories and from the same series or, even the same manga as him, that could even compare to his well-deserved status as THE best boy. His loyalty to his dead childhood friend (who is now turned into a Curse) Rika Orimoto is admirable and beautiful, especially since memories of her has haunted the Yuta himself enough to make him almost suicidal and depressed. However, the most truly admirable thing about him is that he managed to overcome it all. All of his pain, sorrow, and suffering he experienced in the past, which is one of the reasons why I believe he deserves the status of ''best boy''. His character development in Jujutsu Kaisen's Volume 0 has made him a much more determined and confident version of his psst self, who was a timid and depressed kid that had lost all confidence in himself. Even if he's become possibly one of the strongest sorcerers in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, he still manages to be a kind, and caring person, and even deceived the higher-ups into thinking that he actually killed Yuji, all so he could protect him from them, and to fulfill his teacher's wish. Compared to other characters, he only kills people if necessary and is a bit more moderate compared to others from the same manga as him. Despite it all, he's still a naturally friendly person that developed and grown a lot from the past. I love characters like Yuta. Even though he's living in a world built upon evil and selfishness, he manages to stay as that kind, and almost innocent boy. I want him to stay the way he is, a boy that cares for his friends, even if I am some mere reader that cannot write the story however I want, and is simply some girl who has drowned herself in delusion and fantasy.
And that is why, I believe Yuta is the true best boy of all anime/manga.
