Nero lets out a tiny breathless moan before it turns into a yawn. “Careful, I might start to think you like me or something.” They mumble, their face still buried in Caden’s chest. Their hands move to scratch him under his chin.

Nic texts back with a smile. He lets his dad know that Cass said she would be here in five minutes and he nods, heading upstairs to grab a pair of socks for his shoes. Nic goes into the kitchen and gets himself some water while briefly wondering if he and Cass might have some alone time soon. He sighs as he remember today is moving day for his dad’s home - there wouldn’t be many chances to be alone with her.

Nic grabs a pack of water bottles and his cross-shoulder bag while slipping his shoes on by the door. He waits for his dad to rejoin him and get his own shoes on before the two make their way downstairs.

Cassi blushed at the text and shook her head. She was falling far too fast for this man, but she couldn't help herself. He was completely perfect and more than Cassi ever imagined she could have.

They pulled up outside Nic’s apartment just as Ren and Nic were leaving the building. Cassi hopped out of the back, smiling.

”I come bearing coffee and breakfast,” Cassi said. She held her hands behind her back and handed Nic his burrito. ”I made this for you, so you could have something good.”

Nic raises his eyebrows in surprise at Cass’ thoughtful gesture. “You’re absolutely divine.” He tells her while kissing her cheek. Unwrapping the burrito, he takes a bite before climbing into the rear seat - they could leave the middle seat down and his dad could ride in the middle without all of them squeezing in together, he realizes.

“Cass this is delicious.” He says genuinely with a big smile.

Kiki wakes up feeling incredibly warm and very thirsty. She reaches up to rub her swollen eyes and rid them of the rheum that crusts them before she opens them to find the culprit sleeping soundly…

Kimiko lets out a tiny squeal of surprise as her face flushes before clapping her hands over her mouth so she doesn’t wake Avery. Why is he practically naked? And why is he on top of the covers? She can’t help as her eyes drift over his body though and she gulps. He really did have such nice muscles…

Avery was sound asleep, dreaming about nothing in particular when he heard a squeal and shot awake. Avery sat up, looking around the room for the intruder. He saw nothing and his eyes came to land on Kimiko who was awake and taking her fill of him.

Avery flopped back on the pillows. ”Jesus woman, you nearly gave me a heart attack.” Avery rubbed a hand over his face, feeling fully awake but still lazy. He looked at Kimiko, and smirked.

”I don't normally sleep in clothes, so once you were out I had to strip down,” he explained. ”You did say you wanted me to sleep,” he reminded her.

Avery laid on Kimiko's bed without covering up. Modesty about one's body went completely out the window when you shifted back and forth with a bunch of other guys in the room.

Kiki’s eyes keep wandering as Avery talks, unable to help herself. She sits up and clears her throat, grabbing her water from her nightstand and chugging it. She notices Avery’s hoodie is crumpled at the foot of the bed and guesses she must have taken it off in her sleep. She straightens her tank top to make sure everything is in place still. “Did you sleep well?”

She sets her water back down before feeling a little bold. She throws the covers off of herself and lays on her side, resting her head on Avery’s shoulder and draping a leg across him. “I’m starting to realize why I woke up so warm now. Is that why you sleep nude?”

”Yes. I can't sleep if I do. Unless I'm camping outside without shelter or something. I didn't want to freak you out and make you think I was making move on you, which was why I slept on top of the covers,” Avery added.

She’s tempted to start tracing little designs into his chest to keep her fingers busy but opts for popping her knuckles using thumb.

Caden ran his fingers lightly along Nero's spine while they spoke about Hell and what they had. The information would be valuable, and Caden is tempted to see what their old home was like. Besides, Hell would answer a lot of questions for them.

The car pulls up to a moderate-sized home with two stories and surrounded by a wooden fence. “Hopefully dad already packed all the photos and photo albums…” Nic whispers. His dad turns around and grins.

“And deprive Cassi of seeing your middle school photos? Not a chance.” My dad announces before getting out of the SUV. Nic did not have a good feeling about this.

As if on cue, Kat and Jane pull up in the truck and join us inside, Jane not even bothering to knock since she’d been here so many times. “Perfect, Jane and Kat have already seen all these photos so they can pack while Cass cleans and the rest of us will load the truck.” Nic declares, hands on his hips.

Jane snorts when she realizes what Nic is trying to do. “Don’t worry, Cassi, we’ll make sure you see the good stuff.” Nic nearly throws one of the photo albums at her head, but he’s already helping move the couch outside. He shoots her a glare though.

Ren pauses with the large arm chair he’s carrying with Nic. “It’s not really something we said in China. The idea was more about showing your love for someone. We got engaged after eleven months though, if that helps.” He winks at his son as Nic’s ears go red.

Around noon, they had everything packed up and ready to go. Apparently Jane, Kat, and Cass had helped the older Wu downsize much of his things, which did make it easier.
