Nacine wanders the hallways of the Kingdom, her eyes closed. Even though she's only been here a few years, she memorized all the tunnels and secret passages. She sticks to the shadows, naturally hiding herself when possible. She didn't need to, but she also felt better when she was hiding.

Rex fiddled with the scale on a chain around his neck. It was black in color, with veins of gold similar to a stone. The surface was smooth and never seemed to heat up next to his body. He certainly wished that he had a blade with him.

Nacine sneaks up behind Rexx, a slight smile on her face. She lightly taps him on the back, grinning.

Lily peered through the leaves of the fern, her eyes sparkling brightly, giving her away. She tugged her skirt down, afraid of...flashing anything. Or anyone, for that matter.

"Knew you were there," Rex said without turning. He allowed himself a smile as he turned. "You forgot that I can sense heat from objects. Too bad you're warm-blooded."

She watched the pair, curious. She tried to move back, but tripped awkwardly. "Dammit," she muttered to herself..

Nacine laughs. She felt comfortable around Rex. "So whatcha doing out here, alone? I'd have thought you'd be...." She shrugs. "I don't know. Not alone?"

"I always am," said Rex. He daised his voice. "I heard that, Lily!"

Lily appeared from behind the ferns. She tugged on her skirt, blushing as she met Rex's eyes. "No, you didn't," she said, smiling.

Aiden stood quietly off to the side behind the three, gazing off into the distance lost in thought. He was worried about his sister, who had refused to come with him and he sighed softly in frustration, crossing his arms over his chest.

Ara hummed to herself as she looked down at her drawing of a gold dragon. A slight smile of content was on her face and she continued to hum as she focused on her work.

Nacine lightly taps Rex, and gives a faint nod to Aiden. "we have company." her words are almost inaudible.

Rex paid Aiden little attention, his focus on Lily. He gave a rare smirk. "You're a hothead, so you give off more heat than normal, Lil," said Rex.

Nacine choked back a laugh at that, keeping herself hidden in the shadows still.

Aiden blinked, glancing over at the other three before ignoring them and going back to his worrying thoughts about his sister. One would think she was a fire user, as stubborn and hotheaded as she could be sometimes.

Rex put the scale away, standing up. He was just waiting on Lily to lose it.

Lily stared at him. "What? Why are you staring at me like that?"

"I was expecting you to get pissed off, but..." Rex trailed off and shook his head. "I was just going to get to reading my book."

Lily smirked. "Always betting on me to get pissed, eh?"

Rex shrugged. "It's a safe bet," he said, stretching. "Well since I won't be able to read is anyone up for a sparring session?"

Lily smirked even more, "I'll take you up on that," she said, tugging her skirt down again.
