It's been a while.
Years ago, I used to roleplay pretty actively on this site. Out of nostalgia and boredom, I decided to shake off the rust and give this website a spin again. A good old-fashioned one on one seemed like a good start.
About Me:
I'm Echo, a twenty-something year old whose media preferences are wildly all over the place. I love anime like Dungeon Meshi and HunterxHunter, and am also a big horror fan. Way back in the day I loved Creepypasta, and these days I'm a fan of things like Old Gods of Appalachia, Scarlet Hollow, Fallen London, Mouthwashing, and gothic horror.
I work two writing heavy jobs at the moment, so unfortunately I can't promise you fifty paragraphs every post. I usually reserve my longer posts for introductions and for impact, but other than that I prefer shorter content. Short posts let me post quicker and keep my interest, and I have also reached a point in my RP career where I feel like, frankly, you don't need a wall of text to describe someone ordering a sandwich.
Most of my characters are women. I do a few outliers, but if you're looking for a dashing fellow to sweep your OC off their feet, I'm afraid you've come to the wrong place.
In terms of activity, it varies. My jobs take a lot out of me sometimes, unfortunately. However, the more invested in things, the more active I generally tend to be, and I'm also very chill if my RP partner ends up inactive as well. Life comes first!
I also love being able to talk OOC and comment on stuff.
What I'm Looking For
I'll just get this out of the way and say that I'm looking to write with someone over the age of 18. I prefer writing and talking with people closer to my age.
However. I'm not interested in writing anything explicit, either. I'm open to writing the lead up and what happens immediately after, but I prefer to either fade to black or fade to blur for the in-between.
I don't really have any definite plots in mind right now, as I prefer to create plots that suit the OCs that are going to end up in them. If you have some plots in mind, that would be wonderful! I usually enjoy modern fantasy settings (or eldritch victorian), with a touch of horror (if not more). I'm also open to writing romance, and most of my characters are open to relationships with people regardless of gender. However, I'd prefer not to force a romance either, and am perfectly happy with a platonic dynamic. My OCs have their own preferences, and if the chemistry isn't there it isn't there.
I also don't mind just talking and hanging out if you're also a horror fan or interested in any related media! I enjoy meeting new people when I have the bandwidth for it.
Some things I like:
- Horror, of course. Gothic horror, eldritch horror, horror.
- Yanderes and toxic relationships. I write a yandere gal of my own, actually. I think there's something compelling about dynamics that are purposefully written to be kind of awful, and seeing what might develop from that. I have no interest in romanticizing toxicity, however. Yandere dynamics aren't romantic, they are another facet of horror, and I'd want to approach that in a self-aware way.
- Opposites attracting.
- Banter.
