AKA Little Brother.
Gear:
Motorcycle glovesMotocross impact armor (
Back View ) with a climbing harness, and then a bulletproof vest over top. Over all of this is a
gray jacket, intentionally sized large to accommodate the armor underneath. Billy can carry the helmet, or else forgo it entirely in favor of his hood, to look less suspicious.
Carbon Fiber/Kevlar helmet.Three retracting spools of Teflon coated carbon fiber cord, each one hundred meters in length. They are secured to the belt of his climbing harness, one on each side, and one on the back(far apart so the hooks don't clink together) The retracting function toggles. Off, and the cord pulls freely out and stays out. On, and the cord retracts with about sixty pounds of force. And Lock, where the spool cannot move in either way. He has a
grappling hook attached to the end of each, and he also has a knife that can be swapped out for one of them, to use in combat.
Lair: None to speak of. He keeps his things in his car. A 2007 Chevy Cobalt, the spare tire is usually kept in a compartment under the floor in the trunk, reached by lifting the carpet. Mark, Billy's older brother and the car's original owner, abandoned the tire and car jack to use it as hidden storage. The floor has three U-bolts, one on either side and one in the middle, which go into slots cut into the chassis of the car, and are then secured with small remote electronic padlocks. A remote hidden in his car will release all three padlocks at the same time, to allow Billy access to his gear.
Financing: Everything Little Brother uses is bought with money stolen from drug dealers, or else stolen from them directly. He keeps ten thousand in cash hidden at all times. Three in his car, and seven buried somewhere outside of town. Any excess money beyond this, he donates anonymously to local outreach programs.
Acquisition: Billy buys all gear with cash, in person. He buys everything out of town, as far from Charlatan as he can afford to go, and wears sunglasses, baggy clothes and a baseball cap to obscure his identity. He has a fake ID saying that he's 25, and named Billy Batson.
Fighting style: Hand to hand, makes heavy use of his carbon fiber cords, in a style similar to
Black Widow in Iron Man 2Weaknesses: Legs are comparatively unarmored. He broke one of his left ribs, and never went to the hospital, so it didn't heal properly. It is sensitive and could rebreak easily. Though he's always worn a helmet, he has suffered a few minor concussions, youth and brain plasticity are his only saving graces. If he keeps it up, he will likely suffer permanent brain damage later in life.
His gear being kept in his car is a discovery risk, but one would have to crawl under the rear bumper to see the locks and guess what they are for, and as the clearance is rather low, Billy considers this to be less of a risk than having a singular hideout.
