The sky was clear, beautifully and remarkably so. No one ever realizes how much the sky truly covers and brings under it. It governs towns, cities, countries, and even the smallest places and beings. Today the sky was open and te sun shined down upon the school. More specifically it's light shone through the window and illuminated the face of a certain someone...someone dead asleep in the middle of class. "Naoto!" The teacher shouted dropping a heavy hand on the sleeping boy's desk. "Yaaaa!" Naoto awoke, jumping back and falling in his chair. The classroom erupted with laughter. "How many times do I have to tell you to not sleep in my class?" The teacher said as Naoto sat there holding his head. "I'm gonna have to order a desk with drain in it if you keep drooling on the desk. Get back in your seat and keep those eyes open!" The teacher went back to the front of the class. "Yeah yeah..." Naoto mumbled as he followed instructions. Some of the other students started talking. "What is that, like the fourth time this week? And its only Wednesday." They chuckled. "The last thing he needs to be doing is sleeping. His grades are low enough already." The gossip continued but Naoto didn't bother listening. It wasn't anything new. Naoto just stared out the window admiring the day. Man, its so nice today. Class is so boring... I can't wait til practice.
Suddenly the sun was eclipsed...for moment as the ball soared into the air. Naoto bumped the descending ball with his chest and let it drop at his feet. Now this was more like it. Naoto may not be the best student but the soccer field was where he did damage. He bolted down the field finding the defense's weak points with no problem. Passing the ball, Naoto continued ahead. Naoto was a real athlete. He'd play no matter what. Rain or shine, he'd even play in a storm if mom would let him. Weather didn't bother him at all. In fact, he enjoyed seeing what he could do in different conditions so he could be prepared for anything during a game. "Hey Naoto! Heads up!" The pass came and it was easy to predict where it was going so the defense headed there and was ready to steal the ball as soon as Naoto got it. Without a second thought Naoto was able to maneuver around his opponent as if he could see every move before it happened. Before anyone knew what happened Naoto scored the win. His teammates hurried up to him with grins and compliments. "That was awesome! You seem to get better every minute. You're gonna be captain next year for sure~" Naoto scratched his head bashfully. "Thanks but no thanks. I'm no leader, I just follow the game plan." One of the players grabbed him around the neck and started ruffling his hair. "Listen to this guy, being all modest and stuff." Everyone laughed as Naoto tried to struggle out of the headlock.
