The Stuck in a Dating Sim OoC.

A reboot-ish of the old guild's RP, 'stuck in a dating sim'? The premise is that there are real world characters, dating sim fans/gamers, who gets stuck in the latest dating sim. They either find a way out of the dating sim, find their place in this new world, or...? Perhaps they'll fall in love with a love interest of this universe, or create rivals...

For this reboot, there will be only one heroine character and only one hero character...aka, two 'real world' characters, one male and one female. The rest of the character cast can be an unlimited number of love interests from the dating sim universe. First come, first serve from the 'real world' characters. Plot/setting of the actual dating sim universe to be decided, but I have a few ideas...

You're free to ask as many questions as you'd like, here...I'll, of course, add info in the OoC's rule and info section. Any suggestions on "dating sim's" plot/setting? There are literally hundreds of different dating sims styles to go by, if you contrast and compare female and male dating sims...lots of different styles.

The take to cross over dimensions is really original, I think, because this isn't an action game, its a dating sim. So I like it. TvT

Sub Genre (after romance):
-Sci-fi
-Horror
-Fantasy
-Mystery
-Etc.

Setting:
-Workplace
-School
-Hospital
-Family farm
-General city/town/neighbourhood/apartment building?
-On a spaceship colony?
-Adventuring through a kingdom?
-Etc.

Plot (of the 'dating sim'):
-New student in ___ magic school
-Amnesiac patient trying to uncover their memories
-New captain to a brand new space colony
-Adventurer in city looking for a cure for a friend's ailment
-Heir to fortune who inherits and moves into grandparent's mansion, meets the help

Or, I could just surprise you...I'm always full of surprises.

I like modern contexts but I can work with futuristic or medieval as well~

As to the sub-genre it really depends what type of RP everyone, but more importantly, you, want.

Anything to make this more enjoyable and last longer.

My main point of interest is the fact that someone has called main hero. What does that mean exactly? Does the Dating Sim give us archetypes or jobs to fall into?

The hero & heroine are gloriously burdened with being a plot point, as well as being centered in the 'dating sims' plot. There be archetypes, but only whatever people feels like RPing. I can list them, for any of the plot points, but I prefer to go with whatever the majority is interested in.
