I'm just sick of seeing the incomplete character sheet since I wrote out Vector / Hajime's true CS with a full biography and such
Speaking of which, here it is. You don't need to read all of it (it is pretty lengthy) but bleh. I don't want my effort to go to waste-
OC: Hijitaka Toushirou, GintamaName:Hajime Honda –
'Vector'Age:Thirty-six years old.
Gender:Male
Country of Origin:Italy Born – Ethnically Japanese
Role:Leader of CEDEF [External Advisor of the Vongola Famiglia]
Weapon / Fighting Style:Rapier (Box Weapon)
Flame:Lightning
Appearance:Hajime greatly resembles Reborn in both attire and physical image, the world's strongest hitman and Sun Arcobaleno who tutored Tsunayoshi Sawada. He stands just below six feet tall, clad in an all-black suit with a yellow long-sleeved polo shirt underneath, wearing polished black boots as his choice of footwear with a black fedora topped on his head when undercover.
Though, when not incognito, Hajime reveals his emerald eyes and short, messy black hair with bangs that naturally fall into a middle-parted curtain-type style. Underneath a long and black trenchcoat, he wears a green buttoned waistcoat and trousers of the same color, giving him a sort of regal appearance. His original hair color was brown, but was dyed black for undercover purposes.
Hajime is missing his pinky finger on his right hand, which is rather notable.
Personality:It is safe to say that Hajime is not necessarily a recipient of a parent of the year award. As the astute head of the Vongola Famiglia's independent intelligence agency, CEDEF, he is rarely ever seen at 'home' and in the company of his only son. Stout and zealous almost to a fault, this no-nonsense man refuses to allow a majority of outer influences to hinder the progress of his work, and operates moreso upon intellect rather than emotion.
Hajime is willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that he completes his objectives to the highest amount of finalization, showing a deep devotion to the cause of the Vongola and holding Tsunayoshi Sawada with an unfathomable sense of loyalty. He seeks to eliminate all of the Family's opposition and to eradicate injustice by bringing light to the dark in the world, showing similar intentions like the original vigilante group that Vongola Primo had in mind when the Vongola was formed, and the one that Vongola Decimo has resuscitated.
However, in spite of his righteous intentions, Hajime's former affiliation with the Yakuza have left him notably corrupted with a sort of heartless mindset. The extent of his resolve to tackle any risk for the sake of the Family's growth is starkly grand; he would not hesitate to involve other innocent people and endanger their lives if he firmly believes that a small act of foul play would protect a larger population.
Background:
Born in the city of Bologna, Italy, Hajime Honda was the second child of Kanetsugu Fukushima and Miyako Honda, who were selected to become members of a newly-formed (at the time) branch of the Vongola Famiglia called the Varia. In coincidence, the two decided to send their child to the small Japanese town of Namimori to be raised by relatives from his mother's side in hopes that he will grow up normally until the day comes where he would decide whether or not he would want to associate himself with the mafia, or not.
As a child, Hajime was a very quiet and sickly boy, discontent with how things seemed to be 'too normal' – he was nearly held back a year for having a large number of absences, but managed to pull himself into junior high school. Though, he was often ridiculed, and told that he would not accomplish anything in the world.
His first year in Namimori Middle was where Hajime would soon meet and begin a longtime friendship with Tsunayoshi Sawada, the two being completely unaware of their ties to the Vongola Famiglia. As he breezed through the three years of junior high school, he was eventually notified by his relatives of his family's connection to the mafia, and to their surprise, he took the news well because of his lack of interest in Namimori, even showing enthusiasm over the Vongola's reputation as a crime syndicate (at the time).
After graduating from Namimori Middle, Hajime made the decision to not attend the optional high school, and instead, flew back to Italy where he was welcomed as a member of the Vongola. Though, to his surprise, among the people to greet him was Tsunayoshi Sawada himself, who revealed that he was to succeed the throne as Vongola Decimo. This shocked Hajime, who had not noticed a single abnormality about Tsuna throughout their entire last year of middle school, but he was willing to accept his friend as his new boss.
Settling down and living out life as an official member of the Vongola Famiglia for three years, a sixteen year old Hajime was called to Decimo's office for an important discussion. He was informed about the Vongola's recent activity in Japan, and how their latest operation conducted by the Varia and CEDEF (now merged into one branch) took the life of Iemitsu Sawada, the tenth Boss of CEDEF.
On the spot, Hajime was offered by Tsuna to inherit his father's position as the new boss of CEDEF, to which he accepted without hesitation. One year after this iconic moment, Tsuna would formally request for him to conduct a solo espionage operation and gather information on the largest Yakuza organization known as the Yamaguchi-gumi, who had been the ones that murdered Iemitsu Sawada and were reported to have turned their sights to the Vongola Famiglia in hostility, and to spend as much time as he could and wanted to, as long as he was able to relay information. Unable to refuse his friend's request, the man set his sights back to his former home of Japan.
After arriving in Japan, Hajime decided that the best method of espionage was to infiltrate the Yamaguchi-gumi by becoming apart of their ranks. Through thorough search and travel, he came upon the headquarters of the organization and sought out a few members who led him to Kenichi Shinoda, the oyabun of the Yamaguchi-gumi, for an interview of first impressions. He was placed on an 'induction trial' for a period of three weeks under the supervision and shelter of a senior, surprisingly proving himself in under half of the required time and becoming a full-fledged member after committing a prerequisite act of murder.
And over the course of two more years, Hajime would soon find himself suddenly infatuated and admiring the life of a criminal, having already gained a notable reputation within the higher branches of the organization in that short time span. He was invited to attend a private party with the oyabun, his relatives, and the higher-ups of the Yamaguchi-gumi in attendance, to which he himself also attended.
At this very gathering, Hajime was approached by Kenichi, who spoke highly of the man who had only been a member for two years and already accomplished more than many of the senior members. To coincide, he was told that Kenichi intended to promote him to become a part of the Yamaguchi-gumi's administration branch, as well as the desire of his sister, Satomi Shinoda, to marry him. Almost as if he had forgotten about his mission and the Vongola Famiglia, he accepted both with open arms.
For an entire six years, Hajime devoted himself to his new role and family, having risen to the leadership of the administration and fathering two children during those six years. He had cut off contact with the Vongola completely. He and Satomi settled in Aichi Prefecture, where they lived normally and rarely burdened by the lifestyle of the Yamaguchu-gumi. Kenta, the older son of the two, possessed a rare combination of Sky and Lightning Flames inherited from the two, and Daisuke, the younger son, possessed solely Lightning Flames inherited from himself.
It was, until a discovery was made within the ranks of the Yamaguchi-gumi. A number of people were found out as spies sent by the Vongola Famiglia under Decimo's orders to search for Hajime Honda many years before, and after word spread to the ears of Kenichi Shinoda, the oyabun was a furious man for the first time since he arranged for the marriage of his sister to the primary spy, who was his own right hand man.
Outraged, Kenichi sent men to ambush and kidnap the unsuspecting Honda family, holding them captive within their headquarters in Kobe. Restrained and unable to struggle as he watched the oyabun order the vicious beating of his two sons, Hajime had been reminded of true dark nature of the Yakuza, and the atrocities that he had committed. He begged for the cruelty to stop and, mentally, swore vengeance on the Yamaguchi-gumi, watching helplessly as Kenta stood up to protect his younger brother.
As his own punishment, Kenichi sliced off Hajime's little finger, also commanding the men to beat the eldest son to death for the boy's comments towards them in protection of Daisuke, to which they did. Bloody and bruised alongside his only son and wife, they were dumped onto the streets of Aichi Prefecture where they were to be kept under high surveillance.
Now free from his false reality, Hajime sought to escape the clutches of the Yamaguchi-gumi and return to Italy with his family in tow. Fortunately, one of the Yakuza members tasked with monitoring the Honda family was none other than the twenty-five year old Vongola Guardian of Lightning, Lambo, himself, who had also gone undercover. He revealed himself to the identity-conflicted boss of CEDEF, and stated that Tsuna had gone so far as to risk a Guardian to relocate and rescue him, along with a large task force over the last decade, stating that their objective was to extradite him to the United States to live under the radar.
Hajime, touched by Decimo's longtime search for him, vowed to return to the Vongola, and with the help of Lambo, he was finally able to take his family with him away from the danger. Though, it did not take long for the Yakuza to catch up, and they soon began to converge upon the party as they proceeded to the extraction point and awaited for their transport. Lambo stayed behind to fight off the gangsters and, in the process, was wounded severely.
As Hajime was prepared to help the Guardian, Satomi stood up and advised her husband otherwise, stating that she would 'tie up loose ends' with Kenichi, her brother. Though he was against it completely, it was already too late – Hajime and his son were forced onto the extraction plane out of Japan, and he could only watch in horror as Satomi stayed behind to combat her own family organization.
Landing in America, Hajime was visited by a woman by the name of Ottavio, who revealed her connection to the Bovino and Vongola Famiglia, stating that she had taken care of Lambo as a child and as such, volunteered to raise Daisuke in Hajime's absence as the boss of CEDEF. He accepted her offer and left Daisuke under her care, flying off back to Italy to return to his home of the Vongola Headquarters.
When Hajime met Tsunayoshi Sawada for the first time in six years, he swore his utmost allegiance to the Vongola and vowed to stick by his friend's side, never allowing any other outer influence to disrupt his work every again. Though he would visit his son in New York very rarely, only returning if a mission ever took place within the vicinity, he refused to stray away from the Vongola's cause.
Over the course of the next decade, word spread all around the mafia that a strange condition ran rampant within the tenth generation family, resulting in their inability to function and lead properly. This sprung the possibility of successors to become the next generation of Vongola Guardians, and as Hajime and a sickly Tsuna debated over the candidates, Daisuke was selected by Hajime to become the candidate of Lightning due to Lambo's sustained injury in addition.
For this reason, Hajime decided to return to their home in New York, taking Daisuke and Ottavio to Trespiano where the selected candidates were supposedly being gathered together.
Overview:Hajime Honda, the enigmatic eleventh Boss of CEDEF otherwise known as Vector, is the widowed father of Daisuke Honda, the candidate of the eleventh Vongola Guardian of Lightning. His solidified propensity towards serving the Vongola Famiglia and guaranteeing the protection of its foundation is only surpassed by his devotion to Tsunayoshi Sawada.
