Before I begin, I'll include the following disclaimer: Before posting this thread, I did search to make sure that this idea has not been suggested before; in my short research, I did not find any other thread that had this or a similar idea. If somehow I made a mistake, please let me know and just say "Foolish knave, this has been suggested already" (or something to that degree). Anyways, now that my disclaimer is over with, behold my idea!
This is just an idea that came to my mind that I find potentially beneficial to RPG. Since I don't know what they're actually called or if they even have a name, I'll try to describe what I mean by "Open/Closed Titles." To do this, I ask you to remember the Gallery/Request section on the old RPG. Do you remember how shops could have the "[SHOP]" marker on the thread titles (or it was something like that)? Or if you pay attention to the title of this particular thread, my idea goes along the lines of the "[IDEA]" tag only the idea for the RP Status Titles should be editable in order for it to change and reflect the RP's status.
In other words, I figure it would be a nice addition if RPs could have an [OPEN]/[CLOSED] option/title-thing, which could be changed at the GM's whim by editing the thread (probably through the original post or something).
Now, I'm not sure how exactly this will be implemented, if this can be implemented at all (I'm not a programmer of any sort), but I think if it is possible and realistically feasible and pragmatic, then we should really consider the option.
That said, this is a rough idea, so I think some major discussions should take place, and of course, Mahz gets to make the final decision on it all (if it even gets to that point).
