Aurora made a small grumbled sound at Toothless's snort her way and rolled her eyes at the male before lightly rubbing her head against Hiccup's hand when he patted her. It was comforting and it helped a little bit. Though, when the two Viking teens came up to them quickly, Aurora froze and tensed up there, taking a few steps back, not letting them get too close. They were talking to Hiccup, asking if she was a Nightfury. She took that as an insult. She snorted at the question. She was not a mutt like that male dragon. his kind came later, after Arcus dragons inner breeded. She was a pure breed! Much different from that ignorant and dense male.

By this time Stoick and Gobber had approached and hearing the twin's comment and seeing the female dragon's agitation, Gobber laughed, "Seems this lass doesn't seem to fond of ol' Toothless."

Stoick, looked at the two dragons, though seemed less amused than Gobber was, "It looks like its mutual for him."

"The females are always the crazy ones, no matter the species. Moody too. They can't help it. Its the way they're born." Gobber commented once more, getting an 'are you kidding me' look from the female dragon before she snorted in his direction too.

“They just aren’t use to each other yet.” His voice was strained and it was obvious he was trying to convince himself that this was the case. He wasn’t sure the two would ever get along. Especially with the way Toothless had set a steely gaze upon the female- clearly not amused by all her huffing or puffing, or maybe it was just the mention of them in the same sentence.

“Cool, so can we touch her?” Tuffnut had clearly heard none of that and realizing what was said Hiccup stepped in the way with a ‘whoa’, keeping them from getting too close.

“No- no.” He said with a shake of his head. “I really think you shouldn’t touch her. Those humans from the other tribe didn’t treat her well and I think she’s still a bit… nervous about being around all these people.”

Aurora, when the two humans moved forward to try and pet her, stepped back, keeping low to jump out of the humans' reach, but thankfully the human Hiccup stepped up, telling them to not come near her. Good. Because if it wasn't obvious that she didn't want them near her by her tense body and slight showing of her pearly white sharp dagger like teeth, then they deserved to have their hands bitten off. When the humans backed off, she sat down and glanced around.

This town was very similar from the village she had been in before. Only with differences. For one, these dragons seemed willing to help work around the village here, where as in the other village they were chained and forced. And here there seemed to just be a more....pleasant mood. It was like comparing the moon to the sun. One was brighter and more productive then the other.

Standing up again, she moved over to Hiccup and humming softly as she rubbed her head under his chin and at the same time, made sure the other humans were far enough away from her. This Hiccup was her human. The others were not, so she did not trust them. And probably never would.

Hiccup laughed, scales tickling against the soft flesh of his neck. “Ah!” He pushed lightly at the top of her head with a stutter of “st-stop it!” While there was no negative emotions in his response Toothless still snarled in warning, stalking forward and shoving between the two. “Toothless!” Hiccup knew his night fury was protective of him but this new dragon was not a threat, she may be different than all the others but he was certain she meant no harm. He reached out to touch Toothless‘ head and calm him but Toothless growled, forbidding him even as he curled his tail around his ankles.

“Oh man. Nightfury fight.“ Tuffnutt shoved at his twin with a stupid smile and the air excitement. “I am going to love this.” It was a comment Ruffnut agreed on with an enthusiastic nod. “Toothless is so going to start something.”

“No, no he’s not. There’s nothing going on here.” Hiccup quickly imputed and successfully put a hand on Toothless’ snout, calming him marginally with the desire for him to acknowledge him. “Right bud?” But Toothless still seemed frustrated so Hiccup rubbed one hand at his hair and heaved a sigh. “Alright. I think that’s enough of this for now. Let’s take Aurora back to the stables.”

Aurora was happy extremely to hear Hiccup's laugh as she rubbed her head against his neck. She purred more and despite his telling her to stop, she could tell from his tone he didn't mind her shows of affection and she licked his cheek, getting laughs from a few of others. It was only when that male dragon pushed his way in between she and the human that her attitude changed and she growled, making a small snap with her teeth and a grunt of annoyance, her angry rainbow eyes on him. When Hiccup stated it was time to take her back to the stables, the female grew slightly agitated. She had just gotten out of those stables and now she had to go back?

She didn't want to. But, she knew there was really no choice in her part. She couldn't fly. She couldn't go about the village. She relied on this human so if he said it was time to go back to the stables, then it was time to go back to the stables. She blamed that male for this.

Snorting in his direction she turned and put her nose up at him as she headed back toward the stables, her annoyance very clear in her body language. She walked along, out of the village and back up the hills until they did finally reach the stables and when they did, she turned to Hiccup as if asking if she really had to go back in there.

“That was pretty tense, huh?” Hiccup could tell the air was still pretty thick with the stuff. He had no idea why the two were so wound around each other. A nervous smile settled on his features and then trickled away as he turned on his heel. “Just thought we should get out of there. You know, I don’t think I could have kept Ruff and Tuff off much longer.” He joked lightly and glanced back at the stable before shaking his head, he could tell Aurora didn’t want to go back in there yet. “How about we explore the woods for a bit instead?”

Toothless jerked at the sudden change of plans, giving his tail and angry flick before walking up to Hiccup with a few angry gurgles. “You don’t have to come Toothless. Maybe it’ll be good for the two of you to take some time apart.” Toothless agreed of course but he would prefer if it was Aurora that was staying behind. An attempt to voice this was shook off. “Come on Toothless, she needs to stretch her legs and you… well I don’t know Toothless… I think you need to cool your head for awhile.”

Aurora was a little calmer when Hiccup said she didn't have to go back into the stables just yet, that he had just meant for them to get out of the village. A walked through the woods did sound good. Anything with nature sounded good after being with those others vikings and locked in a dark cell all day and night until it was time to fight battles. She nodded her head in agreement of his suggestion to go into the woods and was even more agreeable when he said Toothless should stay behind. Yeah, he should. She didn't want him there and the walk would be much more enjoyable without him.

Excited to get going to explore this new place, she tugged on his shirt with her teeth to get him going, not even glancing at the Night Fury. She moved happily through the trees, taking in the sunlight, her scales reflecting it and turning rainbow. She looked back to make sure the human male was still following her and whens eh saw he was, the dragoness used her ability to vanish using the sun rays and in the next few seconds reappeared beside him again, as happy as could be, enjoying her time out and about with him.

“Okay, okay. I’m coming.” Hiccup felt bad about leaving his dragon behind- he didn’t go many places without him but the insistent tugging was distracting those worries. Even if Toothless was mad now he was certain to forgive him. The nightfury just needed some time to cool off, once Toothless was thinking more reasonably he was bound to see where he was coming from. For the time being he walked along beside the strange new dragon- her species unheard of to his tribe. Light filtered through the canopies, catching in her scales and reflecting tiny rainbows across her skin. When he looked away she disappeared but before he could worry too greatly she was back in sight and he laughed at the surprise she caused him. Despite how it made him stumble a step. “You crashed into Berk at the best time, we get blizzards and hail the rest of the year.” But he bet she’d be real hard to spot in all that white, even without the disappearing act.

Aurora made a small sound that was meant to be a laugh when she surprised him as so and rubbed her head against him once more in a show of affection before she walked along closely beside him. She really wished she could transform into her human form now that they were away from the village, but she had two concerns with that. One was she didn't exactly want him fainting or acting like he had before when she had transformed into a human at the stables. And two wasn't so much of a worry, but more of an observation. She noticed how Hiccup and the other humans wore furs and such. She had a feeling that because she didn't have those things on when she transform it would somehow make him more wary of her. Which was a strange thought considering how she didn't wear those things in her dragon form. Oh well, humans were always strange to her anyway.

Walking along, she bumped her nose against him lightly in a playful manner, as happy as can be, her tail flicking back and forth. That is she was happy until she heard a sound that made her freeze. The sound of flapping wings reached her and her ears flattened against her head, her rainbow eyes going wide. In an instant, she bent her head down and pushed Hiccup onto her back before she began running as fast she could through the forest and back toward Berk, her still sore and wounded body screaming in protest. She didn't get very far though, because three dragons landed in front of her, blocking her way. She growled and slide Hiccup off her back, standing in front of him protectively before she nudged the human with her tail, in a motion of telling him to run. She knew these vikings and what they were like. They would capture her and kill Hiccup. Better for at least him to get away.

She growled more at the men as they slid off of their dragons' backs and held chains and a muzzle in their hands. She jumped at one of them, though one of the other dragons attacked her, biting down on her shoulder and used his paws to pin her to the ground as the humans put the shackles around her legs and neck and muzzle on her mouth before they began dragging her further into the forest, where on the other side, they had a ship waiting to take her back to their lands. They knew how rare and powers she was(when fully healed) and they weren't about to let Berk have her. She was theirs as far as they were concerned and they were taking her back, whether she wanted it or not.

Toothless would be very upset if he knew of the dragoness' affection but Hiccup didn't understand what was wrong with it- except maybe the fact that she was also a girl. A light blush decorated his freckled face at the thought of the less dragon form of hes... it was actually exceptionally human aside from the mannerisms. Those were more dragon and that was what made it so very awkward- just thinking about it. He discarded the thought as they walked, enjoying the warmth of the sun regardless of the brisk temperature of the air. He was sure Aurora was enjoying it as well until she suddenly tensed. He had heard the flap of wings but figured it was one of the dragons from the village. "Whoa!" But then he was being uprooted, landing on her back and scrambling forward to grab around her neck at her sudden burst of speed. She was running, branches snapping against them as her muscles strained beneath him. "What is it? what's going on?!" He hissed in a rushed whisper with enough sense to know something was wrong and to keep his voice down just in case, there wasn't much that could spook a dragon though. Not one like this.

Before he could make much sense of this they were forced to stop. He didn't recognize the dragons or their riders and that was enough to set off warning bells. He eased a step back as Aurora put herself in front of him. He saw the issue, the armed nature of these men and the threat of their dragons. There was nothing he could do but retreat if he hoped to be any help at all. So with reluctance he withdrew, turning and running through the woods. A task made harder by his bum leg but as fast it would allow he was pushing himself through the trees knowing he had to get to Toothless. Had to find Toothless if he had any hope of rescuing Aurora.

Aurora grunted in effort as she struggled to pull and free herself from the chains these vikings had her bound and was dragging her by. Now that Hiccup was away and safe, she had to try and focus on getting herself free. She huffed and smoke rose from the muzzle, her growls and snarls easily audible through the metal. But these men weren't having any of that. One of the men had a whip in his had and brought it down on her back, hearing a pained yelp escape the dragoness. He did so a few more times for emphasis, leaving her whining and limping as she went was pulled along. She didn't want to go back. She didn't want to be in the dark again. She did't want to be forced to fight for these men again. She wanted to be free from these men. She wanted to stay in Berk.

She whined more and began pulling again whens he saw the boat these three vikings had brought to bring the flightless dragon back to their country. They hit her a few more times and continued to drag her until they had her on the boat and connected the chains to the railings and began to set adrift into the ocean, the three men rowing the boat as their dragons flew over head, keeping watch on the female dragon to make sure she didn't get away, which didn't seem likely witht he way she layed there, injured and hurt, chains on her, unable to get away.

HE was a nightfury: most powerful and most intelligent of all the dragons. His breed was as rare as the blue moon and as powerful as the forces that split stars (or so Toothless liked to believe). He was said to be the spawn of lightning and death itself so really… there should be no debate over who was the best here. So for Hiccup to go off like this with that write off of a nightfury and tell him to stay behind-

it just shouldn’t have happened-

This dragoness was of a breed that was only myth. Born from old stories told to hatchlings in the nest. She was no more real than his prosthetic tailfin. He would not deny she existed though because she was tangible and very frustrating. But she was a phony. Something brought about by those humans to confuse. Untrustworthy. He would have followed but Hiccup probably would have noticed him slinking through the trees- he always seemed to know when he was trailing him. He felt wary though, bothered, circling around near the stables and finally laying stiffly just to spring up as he heard a gasping call. “T-TO-TOOTHLESS!”

Hiccup!

He spurred himself to his feet and charged towards the woods, reaching the tree line in time to lurch forward and catch Hiccup as he tripped. He nudged him backwards noting he smelt only of dirt, sweat and turmoil. He urged him with his eyes as his human gasped for breath, finally managing to get out. “They took her!”

Toothless thought he managed not to seem too thrilled about that but still probably came across a bit arrogant, sitting back on his haunches with an air of ‘what did you expect’?

Hiccup was stressing all the same though- he didn’t see the problem. That dragoness had been nothing but an irritant. He gurgled his opinion but his human wasn’t listening. “We have to go get her.” Reaching for his saddle and he pulled slightly away, “Toothless! Please!” Now he had done it. Now… he couldn’t say no to that.

Aurora continued to lay there and whine as these Vikings rowed on, getting further and further from Berk. Every time she tried to stand up and fight against the chains, it just got her another painful lashing from the men. So finally, she gave up. She knew she wasn't going to get away from this. She would be taken back to that evil country and forced back into being a weapon for these men. But, at least there as one good thing. Hiccup had gotten away. She would have hated for that boy to have been hurt because of her. He was the first one to ever give her a chance. To accept her and not be cruel to her. That was why she supposed she had wished to stay by him. To become his dragon as well. That male dragon was lucky to have him. She would have given anything to have a human like that by her side.

As she sat there int he chains, she looked up to see something surprising. Hiccup! He was riding on his dragon overhead. She made a happy sound and jerked on the chains, earning a few good hits from the vikings, knocking her back down and whining. The three vikings began yelling to their own dragons and soon the three dragons sped through the air, going straight for Hiccup and Toothless, though stopped before they reached them, seeming hesitant, the sight of the strong night fury pausing them in their attack btu still after that moment went forward to attack at the angry commands of their rider's below.

Normally Hiccup would take more time to think. Not charge into town on Toothless’ back, speaking to no one as he snatched up a few supplies. As soon he stepped outside he was on the nightfury once more regardless of Astrid calling for him and they were rocking skyward, leaving the girl standing dumb in their stead. By the time she would mount her dragon the two of them would already be gone.

Hiccup peered through his spyglass as they lifted over the trees and urged Toothless forward towards the distant shore. There was a small speck in the distance that gradually shaped into a boat the closer they flew, the wind carried them higher over the quiet sea and he peered down at the enemy Vikings upon the ship. Only drawn from the sight when Toothless snarled at three dragons that were about to confront them. They seemed to hesitate though and Hiccup was about to discarded them as a threat when suddenly they rushed forward.

He lead them upward, Toothless by far superior in speed.

Then circled around- blasting the dragons with a plasma bolt that knocked their formation apart. With narrow pupils Toothless continued his dive through the scattered group and swooped low over the deck, grabbing one of the Vikings and flinging the man into the sea before rising high again. Hiccup patted Toothless as they burst through the cloud cover disappearing from sight of the ship. “If we deal with the Vikings we should be able to bring those dragons around…”

Toothless didn’t entirely agree with that but disliked the Vikings below for their enslavement of his kind- how could he not? So attacking he had no problem with.

Aurora could some what see the strategy Hiccup and the night fury were using. Pick of the three Vikings and the dragons up above wouldn't have anyone to give them orders. It was rather simple really, but would indeed word very well. She watched as Toothless swooped down below to the group and threw one of the men into the water before dashing back up again. She watched all of this closely. Toothless hid int he clouds, leaving the three dragons above unsure where to find him, as well as the other two Vikings left on deck to yell at their dragons, trying to get them to go into t he clouds, but the dragons were too nervous to do so and hovered there, looking about for any signs of him.

The two Vikings had turned their attentions to their dragons and trying to see Toothless in the clouds. Raising her head slightly, her rainbow eyes narrowed and she saw a bit of a good opportunity. Their backs were turned to her and while her legs and front paws were chained down unable to move, her tail was still able to move. Puling it back carefully so as not to alert them, she then swung it forward with a powerful swing, hitting onto of them as hard as she could so the Viking went flying into the water. That got her hit painfully again, but at least it was just down to one Viking.

She looked up, her eyes searching, hoping Toothless and Hiccup would hurry. They couldn't let this small ship get far. It was unknown if this smaller ship had a large one waiting on it and she would like to not find out if she could help it. There was no other ship in sight, so she took that as a good sign, but the threat was still there and she wanted to get back to Berk as fast as she could just in case.

Once more they descended upon the vessel, eyes searching the deck for the second Viking but concluding that something must have happened to the man (there wasn’t really anywhere that someone of that size could hide) Toothless proceeded to throw the last of them overboard before perching partially upon the figurehead of the small vessel. There wasn’t enough room for two dragons to fit comfortably upon deck. He turned his gaze upon Aurora tipping his ear flaps intuitively at her state- momentarily discarding his hostility as his rider leapt off his back.

Hiccup hurried forward, prying the muzzle from Aurora’s mouth before hurrying around her. “Hold on. I’ll get you out of here.” He began working on the chains and despite the tools he brought he still strained against the steel, gaze darting constantly for trouble on the horizon. Finally he drew back with a tired huff as the last of the shackles fell away. “There…”

Even free this still posed a problem though. One that Toothless had already realized and just wondered when it would be obvious to his human. Aurora couldn’t fly- in her state she looked pressed to move. Hiccup swallowed “You need to turn into a human. Then we can ride back to Berk on Toothless.”

Aurora was grateful when Hiccup and his dragon swooped in, taking care of the remaining Viking. She bent low and stood still, allowing for the human to get rid of the muzzle and chains that were on her and once they were all unlocked, she shook them off of herself, before looking about, taking in the area. They were far from shore now and while she did know how to swim, swimming in such waves and that far of a distance without the help of her injured wing to propel her through the water, as well as the fact she was already quite injured by the Viking's treatment toward her, it would be impossible for her to make it all the way back to the shores of Berk on her own. If she wanted to get back, they would have to think of another idea.

She looked back at the human wide eyed at her proposal that she turn human so they could ride back on Toothless. A small whine formed in her throat from that. Last time she had been in her human form he hadn't been too pleased. The throat of him acting that way again, was heavy on her mind, but she knew he was right. It was probably their only way to get back to Berk safely. She hesitated for a moment, before a sigh escaped the dragoness, nodding her head in agreement.

Her eyes searched about for a moment before she looked to the sail on the ship. Taking it in her teeth she ripped it down before laying it on the deck. She moved so that she was under it before the dragoness shifted and in her place sat the strange human girl with white hair, pale skin, and rainbow eyes, looking up at Hiccup and Toothless, an unsure look on her face as she stood up, keeping the sail wrapped around herself, "We should go quickly before any other Vikings come searching for those three." She stated quietly, moving over to Tooth before hesitating and looking over at Hiccup, "He....won't throw me off, will he?"

It felt weird- to see her as anything other than a dragon. He just couldn’t get use to the fact that it was possible. This was not something he could keep stressing over though with them strained upon an enemy ship with a very realistic possibility of more Vikings showing up. “No… no… it should be alright.” Toothless slinked further onto the deck, making it easier to mount him- though his gaze looked a bit irritant about letting the dragoness on he was intelligent and understood that they needed to get going. He’d save his distaste for a better time.

Hiccup stepped up and offered Aurora a hand, helping her up and waiting for her to get situated. “Toothless up, gently.” He stressed this last word because usually when he requested this they were sent on a ride of dangerous proportions. “You… might want to hold onto something Aurora.” He wouldn’t forget how Toothless first reacted to Astrid- though Astrid had tried to swing an axe at him. Toothless wiggled lower against the deck, crouching before launching himself in the air.

Wind rushed around them then buffered out when Toothless corrected his flight pattern, slowing his speed as they climbed gradually higher.

Even though Hiccup assured her that it should be alright, she was still all together a little hesitate to mount the male dragon. It was only when Hiccup was already on and held his hand out to her that she dared to take his hand and get onto the dragon. She sat behind Hiccup, an unsure look on her face. Flying in her own dragon form was one thing, but when she was in her human form she was a little nervous. If her wing in her dragon form wasn't hurt she wouldn't be so nervous, because at least if she fell off she could quickly transform and fly. But if she fell off now then she couldn't fly. She would just have to hope they were still over the water if that did happen so her fall would be broken by the water.

When Toothless lept forward, taking off, Aurora yelped in surprise and instinctively wrapping her arms around Hiccup so as not to fall off, her eyes shut tightly. Though, she didn't stay that way long. The familiar feeling of flying took over and she grew more calm, relaxing her grip on him, just keeping her delicate hands on his shoulders now, looking about, a small smile on her face, her long hair being blow about by the rush of the wind passing them. It felt good to be in the air again, to be so high. To feel, at least for this moment, free. She hoped her wing got better soon. The sooner it did, the sooner she could fly on her own and whenever she liked.

Closing her eyes, she took in the feeling of the air and the height before she opened her eyes again, and resting her chin on his shoulder, looked at Hiccup, "Thank you...for rescuing me."

Despite her blind scrambling- her arms tightening around him, delicate curves pressed to his back… it was enough to cause his face to warm up and for this reason he was glad she was behind him. “Ah.” While he knew it was still the white dragoness it was strange to hear her speak, her voice was small like she was and it just seemed to fit once he had got over his shock. “It was nothing…. I couldn’t let you be taken. You’ll never have to go back to that.” Hiccup assured softly as the clouds darkened overhead as they approached Berk. It looked like a storm was on it’s way but he was hopeful they could make it to land before it struck.

The island was still a distant speck when the sky broke open with great gusts of wind and icy rain. They’ve pushed through storms before though so Toothless battled these elements to make headway, pushed to and froth by the air currents he lifted them higher into the sky. “HOLD ON!” Hiccup called over the howl of the storm as it became difficult to tell up from down and then hail began to pelt down- the first sign of winter on Berk.

Icy stones striking Toothless’ wings caused him to falter and as his flight weakened the wind caught him, flipping him over in the air. He roared in protest, flailing in an attempt to right himself but failed to do so before they crashed into the trees. Branches snapping away from his body- tearing a path of destruction and dislodging his riders before he crashed down in the mud.
