In the Pride Lands

Kaka noticed the early sunrise and ran out of cave, not stopping till he reached the point of Pride Rock. He peeked over it, seeing lush green grass and herbivores grazing. He sat down as stared at the sight.

Anga walked out after her brother. "Kaka, what are you doing?" She asked, her curiosity showing.

Kiyana yawned and stretched before walking out den. The sun was high up in the sky by now, shining on her grey pelt.

Meanwhile in the wastelands, A not so friendly lion was resting on the barren soil with a scowl on his face. He stood up only pace back and forth, staring at his land in disgust. There was not much prey here except for some field mice and some lizards, Karai looked over at the Pride Lands in distance which had a better environment. He then looked back to his own. "I have no pride." He said although no one would hear since he was by himself.

Zane sat in the grass of the jungle, looking up at the clouds.

Kat yawned strutting out of her cave as she would notice her sister, she smiled at her and looked at her nephew and niece. "What do you guys waaaant to do?" She got closer to Kaka, growling at him, showing her teeth. "Wannaaaaa go, HUNT?!" she showed Kaka the meanest face. She wanted her nephew to be the toughest and baddest Lion! If her sister didn't train him, she will!

[Zag]

Kizuato's right ear flicked once she heard Karai pacing again, she grumbled as she awakened. She hadn't been getting good sleep lately. She often dreamed of walking around in the grass at night, then the wind would blow harshly and a male lion would appear in the sky. He looked devious. Cunning. Not to mention that grin he always showed when she'd look at him, it was a grin of evil. Kizuato found comfort when looking at him suprisingly, she never was scared. He'd tell her about how he reigned supreme by getting hyenas to ally with him and overthrow the king of his pride by making it look like an accident happened when he killed the king. After exchanging words he'd teach her things. How to pounce, how to lie and manipulate others, how to hide in the shadows, and various other things. Kizuato's favorite lesson was when he'd teach her how to roar. Her first few sounded feeble and weak, nothing like what she wanted...
-flashback-
"One thing that you must learn is how to strike fear into others. Roaring is a suitable way to acheive this."
The lion said as she stood in the grass, wind whiping the strands as if rain was about to pour.
"Now, I want you to roar as if you are trying to terrify your opponent."
Kizuato thought for a moment, then she made the best mean face she could.
"Rrr..rrrRRAaar!"
"That was pitiful, TRY AGAIN!"
"RRrr.. rrrrRRRAARrr!"
"I said TERRIFY THEM!!"
Kizuato suddenly imagined Kaka and Anga, the ones who were royal cubs of the enemy pride. Anger filled her mind and she bared her teeth in a bloodthirsty facial expression. She gathered as much air as she could and..
"RRROOOWW!!!!"
Kizuato heard someone laughing, she looked up and the lion in the clouds was chuckling darkly as he faded away.
-end of flashback-
Kizuato yawned and stretched before standing up. She walked out of the den and stood by Karai while looking at the Pride Lands.
"They don't deserve that land."

Karai looked down at her and nodded in agreement. That land should've been ours. It's so full of life while our land is lifeless. He knew no lion wanted to live only on mice and lizards. Not to mention dead branches. "We will get them soon, but we need a bigger pride first." He said, giving a reassuring smirk.

Kaka turned to his aunt. "I want to explore." He looked over at his mother for approval.

Kiyana nodded. "Just be careful. I don't want anything happening." She said before leaving Pride Rock to go on her morning patrol. Since she did not have a mate, she felt she had no choice but to take on the responsibility.

Anga sat away from them, she was not going to let her brother convince her to come along again.

Zane was resting on the grassy floor of the jungle, thinking about all that has happened before he left his homeland. He figured he needed a mate or at least a friend. He stood up and went down to the river for a drink.

Ciao walked around the pride rock for a bit before climbing up it to bask in the warm sunshine. once she found a spot she began to settle down for a snooze.

Kat giggled nodding. "Oooooh. Kiyanaaaaaaa. Stop being such a kitty." She looked at her nephew. "Off we go!" She turned to her niece raising an eyebrow. "Not gonna come along? Your losssssss!" She looked at her nephew and then they walked around to explore. "Kaka. I want you to do me a favor.....try not to be wissy and weak. You have no father to tell you this, but your gonna have to be tough. If one day you want to be king."

Kaka put on a brave face. "I can be tough." He said.

Anga mentally growled after they left. Kaka's always been the fave and I'm getting tired of it. She thought with a frown.

Kiyana continued to survey her lands, making sure everything ran smoothly,

Kizuato nodded. The pride was so small that it could just barely be consitered a real pride. If they were to fight now then they'd get destroyed faster than anything. She kept her gaze on the Pride Lands.
"The lion came to me in my dreams again. From what I've seen, he's pretty content with my progress. My roar has improved from his teachings."
She looked up at Karai.
"He's told me about how he overthrew his king by allying with the hyenas. Maybe we could consiter using that and possibly some rogues wandering about."
She looked back at the Pride Lands, glaring at the better environment.
"When I'm older I have them all terrified of me."

[makarov]

Snap drew a shaky breath as the other hyenas surrounded him growling and licking their maws, "Traitor..." One of them called, "Murderer..." Another one taunted. Snap crouched down to the ground in hopes of getting a running start if necessary. "It was greasy's fault...he started the fight not me!!!" The other hyenas surrounded him with their laughter, even to a hyena the laughter of his kind was maddening. "SHUT UP!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" Snap was about to curl up and give up when the form of two hyenas slammed through the crowd and grabbed Snap, it was Click and Clack, his two best friends. But why would they intervene in this? Clack looked horrified as he hefted Snap to his feet, "Come on man...we gotta run!" Click faced off the other hyenas, now Click was one of the largest hyenas ever born, almost as large as a lion, and most of the pack didn't feel like trying to take him head on. Clack looked into Snap's eyes, "Keep running!!!" Snap barked out in fear, "Where are we running?" Clack had a face of horror, "The pride lands..."

Tufang was laying on a rock, between the pideans and the wastelands . " Tsh such weaklings " Tufang jmped Down from the rock and slowly went towars a bunch of zebras tat was near a watersouce. Tfang licked his face at the thought of the sweet meat of the zebra. Sneaking closer and closer ntil in reach he striked with jumping at the zebragettin hi Sharp theeths into the zebras thoat, blocking the blood flow and soon after it was dead " Sweet meat" He laughted a Little and started eatin the zebra

One of the pride was busy doing scouting out and drawing up marks of the ground of where he had detected all the scents he would need to find, Hyenas, vWastelander even the other pridelanders were mark on his smal draw up. This was hobby of his to keep track of everything that was happening, so the queen could focus on the prideland. Kai took care of the things outside of it. Of course, he had a deep hatred of thew hyenas as he touched the scar on his eye. It was strange that he looked like the old Archnemies of the prideland the failed king Scar but then again this is what he got from being a direct desendent of Scar line. He sighed a little before his ears twitch as he picked upthe sound of KAt and the young cubs as well as the queen of Pride Rock on her morning patrol.

Kat smiled at her nephew. "Oooh. You are tough?" She nodded to herself looking around seeing a cobra she walked towards the cobra and whispered to him. "Hey...mind scaring that cub for me? No biting.. " the cobra hizzed at Kat but ofcourse he nodded, he had too or if he didnt. Meat for KAt. The Cobra silently went towards her nephew as he began to climbg up her nephew's right leg.

Kaka felt something slimy crawling up his leg and looked to see a cobra. He almost gave a look of fright, but soon covered it up with a brave face. He growled at it.

Anga was in her little corner by now which was inside the den, thinking of things she would do to her pride and brother. Those things will have to wait till I'm older. She thought as she continued to sit there.

Kiyana had finished her morning patrol and was on her way to Pride Rock. When she reached the cave, she only saw her daughter although she knew her son was with her sister so she didn't see any need to worry. She walked up to her daughter. "What are you still doing here, Anga?" She asked.

"I did not feel like exploring with him" Anga said, keeping her composure.

"That's the spirit." Karai commented before looking back at the Pride Lands. Kiyana, enjoy your freedom while it last. "One day, that land will be ours." He said merely to himself.

Zane finished his drink and went for a walk in the jungle, not really paying much attention to anything. Those two-leggeds(humans) will pay. He thought with a frown.

Tufang was still eating his pray being hunger than normal " Hmm such sweet taste. . " Tufang Took his head op from the pray and looked around with his snort bloddied

Zane came across the desert where he had met two lionesses when he was a cub. He smiled at the memory, but apparently they were no longer around. He continued his walk along the sandy ground.

Kai watched Kat with the cubs as he wanted to make sure that they were all safe as he knew the queen would be angry if her children were hurt or injuryed. So he watched them carefully making sure that Kat was safe as well.
