So I was thinking about how Carla and Alden could meet. Her work is along the board walk were the mini theme park is, and I was thinking that was the closest pay phone to her work place, and she could meet him along her way to there? As for Hale and Hazel which are freaking perfect match names for them xD, I'm not really sure. Have they met before this? Or is this their first meeting? Either works for me.

Yeah, their names are kind of perfect lol. I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out.

Let's see, for the Carla thing: Alden is going to spend a vast majority, if not all of his time, in the woods. I don't imagine him wandering about the general public when he's got a hunter on his tail. Maybe we can have him venture out in a moment of rebellion though.

As for Hale and Hazel: I'm not sure. I was thinking that Hazel comes from a long line of Guardians that dates back to the beginning of time; maybe your hunter does too, but that's up to you. Anyway, I was thinking that Hazel inhabits a protected reservation at the edge of town. Hazel and Hale would have an agreement that he is forbidden to hunt within the bounds of her forest. I'm guessing that Hale would go along with it because most of the creatures in her forest are benign.

Which brings me to another point: Why is Hale after Alden? I was thinking that there's a blood-feud going that has been going on between their families for generations. Alden's family has long since atoned for it, but Hale still believes them to be dangerous--though Alden most certainly won't be.

That's just kind of a regurgitation of what's in my head, feel free to pick it apart.

Alright, are the faerie the only type of supernatural in this reality that we've created? Secondly is his family small or large? Are they the only faerie in this area?

I can't see Carla going by the dark woods, even more so after warnings from Hale to say away xD Maybe he wanted to see the fair grounds at night or something? That is after all the time when I was planing for Hale to hunt.

Mhmm, I wouldn't say the family line of hunters went that far back, but may at least maybe 100 years. I was thinking he wasn't taught by his mother or father, but rather his Uncle, but he was only taught after their mother was murdered. Hale walked in on the murder, and beat the murderer to death with a bat. Dark past. My characters have things for dark pasts xD Now if that was from the faerie or not will depend on your answer to my first question :P

Oh and what is your thoughts on what faerie are?

I was actually thinking that all manner of mostly-benevolent supernaturals existed. Pixies, fairy's, goblins, nymphs, all that crap you read about in books when you were a kid. If that makes it seem too kiddie for you, we can change it--but, if you think about it, the real versions of these creatures are pretty adult--most were either horny, murderous, or both. Alden's family would probably be pretty prominent, so on the large side. They would not be the only Faerie in the area.

Sure, we'll just have Alden venture out beyond his borders and run into your girl, from there he can convince her to visit him in the woods ha.

My vision is that Faeries are mostly like they're depicted, very small, but they can shift to human-sized (something Alden does frequently, obviously.) Pretty benevolent, or indifferent. Not inherently evil, for the most part. They would probably have their own colonies or 'courts', separated either by seasons or elements. Like, the winter court, the autumn court, etc.

Again feel free to modify or suggest anything you don't like.

Alright, that sounds good. So we're doing more of the fairy tale kind of monsters rather then vampires, demons, werewolves and stuff?

Having them be more adult is way more fun xD

LOL. Hey I like you, wanna come visit me in the woods? Creepy rapist XD sorry. I'm sure once he gets her trust and or interest she'll come see him.

Mhmm so kinda like the faerie in the Tinker Bell movies but more bad ass? We can do season faerie. I believe there could also be element faeries clans if we don't do seasons and then there are Faeries styles that I've read in two different book series that are interesting as well. Linky the details are rather vague but I could fill you in more if you wanted. Then I also have a site that lists of lores of different faeries. Linky

Yes, fairy tale monsters, no vampires, demons, or werewolves. Though, Hazel is going to have a daemon, but that is no way correlated with a demon. Look it up, if you'd like more information.

Heh, no, and I don't imagine that Alden will jump at the chance of inviting her to the woods. He won't exactly want the human he's become fascinated with to know that he's a creature out of her story books. As time progresses, though, I'm sure he'll take her there or whatever.

I'm not thinking Tinker Bell, but, yeah, I guess that works. I just want to keep them as they were originally depicted, like, in the old days, not Disney haha. I can't say I'm a fan of Holly Black, but I am thinking very closely along the lines of the faeries that she depicts in her novels. That other site is helpful, btw.

Oh I wasn't thinking Tinker Bell, I just meant how the kids movies are like seasonal faerie and help the seasons pass and come and how they were tiny, however ours have the ability of getting human size.I'm just trying to make sure I have the right type of faerie style since people have used so many over the course of writing that I've forgotten what their original depiction really is.So if we're having the seasons but also the depiction of the faeries in Black's novels are we keeping the two courts or are their four courts for the four different seasons?

Let's do four courts, and maybe a few wayward groups out there. We've got to give Hale a reason to suspect them of evil ha.

Lol so the four courts and some like rebellion 'trouble makers' groups? And these faeries do they have like powers? Like someone from the winter court can freeze things? Spring could use water? I don't know >< Do you get where I'm coming from? Or are these faerie who rebel just kidnapping, killing, seducing and use faerie weapons?

WITH THIS IN MIND. Maybe Hale is chasing one of the rebel faerie and doesn't stop even though he enters the woods and Hazel shows up just as he's about to kill the trouble maker?

Yeah, they would have minor abilities that reflect their court. Nothing that could cause too much damage to a human, though. In fact, they would mostly rely on their innate cunning and mischief to lead humans into situations that would bring them harm.

And, your idea with Hale works just fine for me.

Ah alright! I think we're on the same grounds for what the Faerie are. Should we then give Faeries an element that they are more in touch with? Like per court thing?

Oh and would you like to do the pictures in the posts again?

Sure, that makes sense. Like, Winter would be ice, Spring would be earth, Autumn would be air (?), and summer would be water(?) ha. I know ice isn't an element on its own, but whatever.

Sure, if you're up for it.

Mhmm, I think Spring would be better with Water, unless we want to do winter as water since they freeze stuff, and ice is water, and throw fire in, but fire doesn't do much with the season change. We could do it as Spring water, Summer Earth, Fall Air and Winter ice/snow?

Yup I don't mind ^^ Did you want certain images or did you just want me to go find some and surprise you?

Also would it be better if I start?

All right, I'm fine with the elements correlating that way.

Nope, surprise me!

I think it would be, especially if you're going to begin with Hale chasing down a wayward faerie.
