Avery

Avery stands at 5'8". No scars. No piercings. No tattoos.
Powers: Shadow manipulation, and shadow transformation.

Personality: Avery is an upbeat, outgoing and somewhat pushy girl. She is the true definition of an extrovert. Add a tad too much sarcasm and a dash of bluntness to top off this exploding mixture of a teen and we got Avery! Avery is sometimes described as lazy and unmotivated because of her lack of attending class, her tardiness or just plain not handing things in. In reality, Avery is not as lazy as she is perceived to be by her teachers. She can be hard worker, but only in things she is severely interested in. Avery is a party person, she loves to hang out with friends and fool around but of course even she has limits and sometimes needs to go days or hours in silent isolation.
History:
Avery grew up in a sleepy town with her adoptive parents. Her childhood was a fairly normal one. A nice cozy home that's comes with two loving parents. Everything was fine besides her intense and ever growing hatred for heavy light sources. Especially the sun. It made her feel weak and concerned her parents greatly. Of course like any sane pair of parents they immediately took her to the doctors. They examined her and found nothing wrong. She was absolutely healthy. So her parents brushed it off, and continued to try to make her adapt to being in sunlight but never fully working. In her teenage years she began to notice her special connection to shadows. Her growing power over the darkness. With this new found power she of course practiced and practiced whenever she got the chance. Also occasionally pulling terrifying pranks on teachers or other students, by engulfing them with darkness.

Eventually her parents found out about this "horrible" gift and immediately scolded her. Putting down strict rules never to use them. Of course she didn't stop, naturally being the rule breaker that she was she practiced in secret. Again her parents found out and were furious. Luckily through special connections her parents managed to boot her to the high school.

I'll make a CS in a few moments, hell i think i'll make two. a student and a teacher maybe?

I also think it'd be fun if we add more supernatural subjects? monster lore , spells and incantations, human studies & acting mortal, rituals (I'll be making a teacher for this one maybe), supernatural/martial arts (as sports maybe?), power development counseling (very useful for teen-aged supernaturals i'd imagine)

Appearance:

Of average build, long white hair, undamaged skin. Usually wears all red clothes if able. As he walks the soles of his feet give of cinders that float off and dissipate in a few seconds.

Powers:
- Pact devil. Can grant wishes, however the wisher must willingly promise to sacrifice something of at least equal value.
- Resistant to mind-affecting, compulsion and illusion effects (his subconscious mind constantly searches for loopholes in magic)
- can open temporary gates between hell and the mortal world. (very temporary)

Personality: calculating

History: A while ago in 1995 a man stood alone on a crossroad of two roads that leaded nowhere in either direction, he made a wish and let a drop of blood fall in the center of the cross. Mephistopheles answered the call and asked him what he was willing to give up. They traded ten years of fame and fortune at the price of his soul.

A decade later it was time to collect. Naturally the man didn't want to go, he begged, he pleaded, he cried. The devil smiled, "I can render the contract void for you, give you another chance. At a price." The man cried "anything!"
Mephistopheles grinned widely "I want your first born."
The man's wife was barren so he agreed immediately. A second pact made.

A year later Weiss was born, it was a miracle, and Mephistopheles was there to collect.
Another month later the man committed suicide, the devil got his soul in the end. The man was quickly forgotten.

Mephistopheles named the human child Weiss after his white hair, and raised him as his own. As a devil.
Weiss was brought up among the damned, his friends where murderers and psychopaths, his teacher's where manipulative tyrants and his family the devils that ran the place.
Once Weiss came of age and he had become a capable devil his father send him off to a boarding school so he could "learn to deal with the outside world"

Crush/Relationship: none

Family: Mephistopheles (foster father)

Other: As a human child raised to be a devil Weiss blurs the line between mortal and immortal, his actions will decide what he'll be in the end.

How about the Felinae family of animals only, so like domestic cats and smaller wild cats. And when she changes back some parts of the cats are left behind now and then, like tails and ears etc. small things like that?

Depends: Would they have full control, would they have all aspects

I have a few suggestions of limiting a shapeshifter power:
- limited use: takes up energy to maintain a shape
- doesn't change voice, intelligence, mannerisms. So it requires acting to make it convincing.
- does change voice, so no talking in animal form, just growling and hissing
- takes a while to change / is very painful
- movement not yet under control: animals that move radically different from humans are hard to control (cat or bear is doable, but a bird crashes)
- can only take shapes you know, you need to collect shapes and can only take shapes you've already collected. collecting is a ritual that takes time and effort.
or similar:
- can change into a creature you can see at that moment.
- there's a very obvious sign that can be recognized by people familiar with shapeshifters
- other animal's regard you as unnatural and will react hostile to you in any shape

Name: Heravix of Gaul
Age: around 2200, no one knows exactly
Species: Lich
Appearance: A very slender and tall man wrapped and covered in black, grey and blue shreds of cloth that constantly shift and move. His face is long and pale, he has long silver grey hair that flows from his head as well as his chin. His eyes are glowing blue. He never opens his mouth when he speaks, instead he uses magic. His hollow voice always seems to echo from everywhere in the room. The cloth goes all the way to the ground, you never see his feet stick out from under the robe as he seems to glide as he moves.
Powers:
Wide array of spells, incantations and rituals.
Immortality. (There's a magic object called a Phylactery that contains Heravix's soul. As long as it's safe he is immortal, his body will regrow near the Phylactery in a week if he is destroyed.)
Classes(In Order, Max = 8):
Teaches Mythology and History
Is student counselor
Personality: Think of the warmest, nicest, most caring person you know. Now stick that person in a freezer and hide him/her on the Antarctic for thousands of years.
History: In days before days forgotten. In times before the rise of the roman empire. There lived a man in what we now call France. He still lives. He found a way to store his soul and bind himself to the material world. No one but him knows more about his history than this, and even he doesn't remember much.
Crush/Relationship: Not that anyone knows of.
Family: Not that anyone knows of.
Friends: The other staff of the school sort of like him, once they get to know him. The same goes for many students.
Other: Heravix is a relic from different times, he has completed all of his goals a long long time ago. He took up teaching out of boredom a couple of hundred years ago and stuck to it ever since. He takes an interest in the lives of the students because "youth is creative" and he loves the rare moments he can be surprised.

Now, I know he's a tad powerful. But since he won't really meddle with affairs other than give advice and such. It shouldn't be an issue.
His role in the story should be kind of like that of Tom Bombadil.
