Well Kai used a lance, although she did snap it before use and then instantly chucked it at someone, she did technically use a lance for a few seconds XD

It's not bad, but I do feel like you're trying very hard to shoehorn Jecht into the Fire Emblem setting. While I'm not inherently averse to using characters from other canons when it's done well, my usual rule of thumb is "If you don't have to, don't."

Also, just my feeling, but I think the character would be better if you dropped the weapons entirely and just made him a Taguel. It's been 10+ years since Awakening at this point, it's very possible that other tribes of Taguel could have appeared that Panne and Yarne didn't know about (as both of them claimed to be 'The Last of the Taguel', though neither of them seemed to know for sure that this is the case and Panne even seems to doubt her own claim, as evidenced in one of her supports with Gaius).

Of course, I'm not the GM, so feel free to ignore me. Simply my two cents, as it were!

On a side note I've never had the chance to play the game so I don't know what he is like. xD I just thought his looks fit the character I wanted. I actually was going to make him a laguz, but I'm still unsure about his character class.

Well, yes. Taguel are basically this game's Laguz. They're a race of beast people, though instead of the bird/cat/dragon tribes from the Radiant series, they all have the same transformation into a creature which is like a cross between a wolf and rabbit, but the size of a bear. It's pretty boss.

I was simply thinking that the whole "He fights like an animal" thing, coupled with his look (Jecht would make a surprisingly good Taguel) would work well as a Taguel and I don't think there is one currently in the RP.

Actually I think there were different kinds of Taguel although most of them got wiped out during the genocide.

So they did. Well, the ones in Awakening all have the same transformation, though that's probably because they're all related.

Either way, if you wanted to make him a Taguel, Dragon has put provisions for them in the character info section so they are at least viable for the RP. You might want to run it by him what the transformation would be though.

Finally, Neo's phobia can come into use.

Classes just seem to be a good way of defining certain aspects of characters. Grandmaster? Understands battle tactics and sees the flow of a fight very well. Beserker? Every blow should cleave a stone, or enemies helm covered head, in two. I would assume Snipers can shoot farther than Archers and Sages are magic users who finally decided to delve into other types of magicks.

As for HOW actual promotions happen, my own theory was that either a Lord or Tactician would "knight" a player for doing a certain grand act that could have been the starting point of a new role/class. Even something as simple as an archer stealing an enemy cavalier's horse and taking the steed and sword as their own could almost pass as a promotion to Bow Knight. Again, in my opinion.
