dragon rider academy

This is just an idea I had in class today.

In an age where humans and dragons live in peace there is a academy that raises those chosen by dragons to be riders. This academy teaches them every thing they will need to know about being a dragon rider.

Characters will play either a dragon, a rider, or I will allow a few to play dragon and rider together.

Any interest in this idea. Its still a work in progress and I could use help developing it.

so, being a rider, would we also play our rider characters dragon or would that be someone else?

I will have to think on that. I had this thought and just threw it up. But now that I look at it it would make mor sense to have dragon and rider controlled by the same person unless people like having it split.

It should be both, like some may want to be a rider and have someone rp their dragon and others may want to control both their rider and dragon. I'm all for this

Okay it will be up to other people as to what they want to do I will let people control both rider and dragon or just one if they want.

I was in a roleplay like this before. Except there was a side that was against dragon riders and if I remember right, just wanted to eliminate the dragons or the riders or both.

Would it be a good idea to have a side against the dragon riders?

Yes because if your a student at the academy your learning how to live with your dragon and how to fight along side of them.
