God's, Deities, and Fables

Mirelda

Mother of Gods, Mother of Kings and Mother of Queens.

Mirelda is the chief deity. Prayed to for council by King's and Queen's alike. Additionally prayed too when seeking help from any other deity.

Hilt

God of Death, Snow, Winter, Sorrow, Time.

Commonly known as the God on the Mountain, Hilt is the god whom brings the end of things. He brings the winter and the deaths along with it, he brings the harsh chills and rips children from their parents arms with blizzards and hail.

Yaska

Goddess of Women, love, passion, sex, lies, betrayal, desire, deception and secrets

Yaska is two sides of a coin. She is pictured as both sides of a woman. Loving and passionate. Deceitful and hatful. She is said to have betrayed many men to their deaths during her formed life, each for gazing another way, and upon another. A man who is blind or loses his eyesight is said to have been cursed by Yaska for his wondering eyes. The same is said about those who lose control of their manhood. She is seen as the Whore God, yet as powerful as her brother Domas.

Domas

God of War, Anger, Rage, Fire, Iron and Steel

He is prayed to by all before battle. He doesn't pick sides but instead sharpens the steel of the man who will win. Domas is said to know the fate of each man's battles by the knowledge of his friend and fellow God, Tyhme. He is said to will the blade of the man who would win, allowing for an easier win, with much less damage to the winner.

Tyhme

God of Fates and knowledge.

Tyhme is referred to as the Death God by many, mostly for his power in knowing the paths of each individual. He is responsible for the deaths of many, some before their time. Most pray to him before they sleep, hoping they can sway the hands of fate for one more night.

Yamhie

God of fertility, and nature.

Yamhie is written to be a frequent visitor to Yaska's bed, and also to be her husband. It is said that each year when the summer comes and winter ends, Yamhie has been blessed with another son, and he spreads his joy upon the lands below. Since the God's Death, summers have often killed the plants and caused famine. At first people believed it to be due to the birth of a daughter.

Vaskrith

God of the Sun, virtue, honor and grace.

He's the direct son of Mirelda and often seen as the King's God. His window in the throne room as Castermere is primal to the rule of any King. Although he will never spread his own light on a King that isn't worthy. Many will pray to Vaskrith before a battle. Knights will often pray to him.

Zeelas

Goddess of the Sea, marriage and promises

Her constant state is a symbol for any marriage. Calm waters on the day of a marriage were once the sign of a healthy and perfect partnership. Before the God's Death, nearly all weddings would take place by the sea. Often with the couples' feet in the surf.

History of Cannor

God's Death, War of Kings

The last God's King, an older man known as Yaleon the Just had crushed a small rebellion in the Riverlands, destroying the army of Halgar Resdell. The act had stirred some families to turn their backs against the would-be rebellion. Yaleon made an attempt on showing the people of Cannor that he would stop all rebellion against the God's King with justice. He displayed the heads of Halgar Resdell and his eldest son Dorah on the walls of Castermere, placing them above the passage to Mirelda's temple.
