Name: Jonathan Macieira (HV001)
Age: 26, stopped aging at 23
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Species: Human
Height: 6’ 9’’
Hair ColourEye Colour: Green, not human anymore
Deformities/odd features:There isn’t anything normal about Jonathan anymore, but the change that could probably have caused him to be thrown over to the defects is his missing a right arm. There isn’t even a scar or anything like that (if he can even be scarred), it’s just missing. Not even a stump.
General Appearance:Structurally, Jonathan only went through few changes. He has a human shape, although a bit broader than usual and even looks human down to facial details. The change is that his whole body is covered in tree bark, and what was once human flesh is now fresh wood. In general his bark is a deep brown, but his face, his hand and his feet transition into green; a hue of younger wood. Just like that of a tree, Jonathan’s bark is rough and solid, with furrows running down the surface. The young wood is coated with a thinner, smoother bark.
As his body is now that of a humanoid tree, Jonathan has no hair on his body. However, as one runs down the top of his head, branches start budding from his scalp. On the back of his head, there are even green leaves protruding outwards. From his shoulders and upper back, thicker and longer branches make their way out towards his sides and backwards, coated in similar leaves.
Jonathan’s facial features reveal still that he is of Hispanic descent, with full lips and a straight nose. His face is square in shape, with a flat chin. His eyes are no longer similar to those of humans, being a light, lime green where they were white and with no irises, instead a gradient towards a deeper, emerald green radially into his pupils, which are actual holes. The eyes are dry, with the consistency of fresh leaves, hollow and fragile.
Personality:Jonathan has always been the isolated type, generally shunning masses of people. Silence, emptiness and a general void is what he feels at home in. Because of this, he has never been one to make friends easily. Quite frankly, he never needed them that much. He would much rather stay in his room and watch movies or read books. That being said, when times get dire, Jonathan appreciates a shoulder to lean on. He is a good enough friend to offer one himself, if a friend is in need. Don’t count on him meeting you at the mall or in a busy street though. He would rather stay far away.
After his kidnapping, Jonathan has become very distressed. He is overtaken by paranoia a lot of the time, not trusting anyone. After all, when such an event happens, anything could happen. Anyone could betray him. Friendship died the day he drew his last human breath. As such, he now acts quite stressed in many situations, not taking time to think and process events. However, his poker face is as good as ever, so he may not looked as shuffled as he is.
History:I will reveal most of this IC, so feel free to not read it. However, if you are interested enough, have a go!
At the age of 23, Jonathan Macieira was living alone in Rio de Janeiro and was close to finishing his degree in digital informatics. It was all planned out, he was going to get a job at a respectable firm which sold statistics – simple enough – and build a career. He would always live in the city and he would always make his way on his own. His only friend, Silvio, was studying financial management, and together they would become an unstoppable duo. Both were the top of their class and both were destined for big things.
Silvio was sad during those times though, having fallen into a light depression after a bad week and a couple of bad grades. It ruined his perfect record. He would be fine though, Jonathan thought, keeping to himself rather than helping his friend. That would be his biggest regret in a long, long time. Silvio did not tolerate this from his best friend.
Jonathan had no idea who Silvio had come into contact with, or what they wanted, but Silvio collected a DNA-sample from Jonathan and was happy to see he was indeed compatible with the villains’ plans. He leaked Jonathan’s address to them and, after a confrontation with him, let him get taken away. That was the last time Jonathan saw Silvio, but his angry, pained shouts of rage echoed in his head eternally in his mind.
The next three years are blurry. In the beginning there was a dramatic surgery where Jonathan changed. Not instantly, but gradually. At some point, he was dug down into the ground – maybe for a day, maybe for half a year. But after he was taken out of the ground, his transformation was almost complete. He had even grown a whole foot taller, and just larger in general! That was when the bastards sawed off his right arm. What they did with it, or why they did it at all, was a mystery. The wound healed, the result being Jonathan had no right arm. For some reason, the scientists were very disappointed in this. So disappointed, in fact, that they threw Jonathan away. He was now garbage, it seemed.
After that, there has only been the storage room, where he was put in a cage. His cage is wooden, for some weird reason, while all the other ones are of steel. There is also a lamp in his cage with a weak purple glow. He is given water once or twice a day, he struggles telling the time, and some cubes of sugar from time to time. That is all. And although the dark loneliness is what Jonathan prefers, he is far from comfortable. He wonders about his own state, about the outside world and especially about that dirty bastard Silvio.
