Thank you for joining, Dawnon. We need more people. You won't be able to know where everyone else is simply by sitting around in the Void, and we'd like further information about your Keeper in the coming posts, but otherwise it was a reasonable entry, giving us a good look at the basic character of your Keeper.

We haven't got any Rogue Beings yet. They may come soon, probably in response to your request.

I might create one at some point, but for now I'm focusing on my keeper and his unique take on sanity. Maybe after Xir'ain tries to take Ensis'Lucas I'll create a rogue being.

Within the next three or so posts I plan to introduce a rogue being. He's partially aqueous in nature, though, which means he might not be so good of a fit for some keepers that are nowhere near a lake or the ocean.

Think he could handle the absolute blackness of Xir'ain's dungeon and survive the ever-hungry eels and the deadly runners trying to kill and eat him?

I was actually thinking that Xir'ain would be the best match for him. Darkness wouldn't be an issue and the eels would probably be the ones getting eaten, if anything.

Edit: BBeast, in my next posts I intend to have Shaige fly around and see Paterdomus himself. Should I just make it (and it's religious institution, particularly) as I see fit, or did you already have something envisioned? I was going to make them have a theocratic system with worship of fire and water, similar to Zoroastrianism.

I'm pretty sure I've got my Rogue Being ready. We don't need to do a CS for them either, right?

Okay then, though I'm not sure how Xir'ain would react to something like a rogue being. The first contact would be terrifying, that's for sure.

No character sheets needed. Hmm...I only have about 45 minutes until Game of Thrones is on, but that might be long enough for get up a brief post for my rogue being. If not, I should be able to do so around this time tomorrow.

No rush, Xir'ain will be out on the edge of his territory for a bit as he investigates a "mysterious structure". (It's a farm)

I still need to think up a concept for my rogue being.

I have no plans for Paterdomus' religion. Your plans sound good.

Well, it looks like Shaige will get a scenic view of the countryside, before making it to Paterdomus. Ah, Paterdomus, a city full of religious fanatics with an undead horde to the south, a strange ghost and his followers over in the east plotting something, and now some sort of smoke demon is coming into the fray! This will be interesting!

Were you planning on sending your rogue being to Shaige? Calvartem? Neither, perhaps?

This is my design. (Kudos to those who get the reference.)
Anyways. Let's see how this all plays out. Ancient demon, just now awoken from an ancient slumber? It shouldn't be too hard for it to be influenced, one way or the other.

I didn't want to write Xir'ain meeting his first human yet, so instead I wrote what began as a short side story about an imp. I guess that imp became a little more important than he or I had planned. Xir'ain is going to be completely blindsided when he returns to the center of his dungeon only to find all is unwell.

That was a very well-written post, giving us some extra insight into life in your Dungeon. Such posts are always appreciated.

I edited it a minute ago, so you might have read it differently from what it is now. Af just became more important in the grand scheme of Xir'ain's underwater world.

Brilliant. In any Dungeon where beings have the ability to think you have the potential for conflict to arise within the Dungeon.

@Dawnon, just to make it clear, you will have to work hard to get outcasts and criminals to cooperate with you. They aren't the kind of people to gather together under the banner of a single being, even when offered a reward. They would also have apprehension and suspicion in cooperating with people dressed in dark morbid attire and an extradimensional being. Many people would rather their sanity and free will than power and riches. Just making sure that you don't overlook that.

This interests me considerably... I wonder if I could make a blind aquatic Keeper whose powers revolve around sensory enhancement/reduction and lives in the deep dark ocean with demented lamprey serven-

IVIasterJay said Ooh, such a great first OOC post. If we're doing dibs, I'm thinking about a fluid darkness theme, like with black oil / ink / dark water. And eels. A terrifying army of evil eels.

~Excessive profanity~

Anyway, early idea formulation aside, I'd love to join this but I'm a bit worried that the amount of posts it takes to develop a new species could slow the course of events down unnecessarily. How's the idea been working so far? What have players been doing while blueprinting their minions?

I'm definitely playing a Rogue Construct at least, though. Hopefully something that spreads disease, sort of an embodiment of the real influence of disease in wars and civilisations and stuff.

no i know id have to work for it but seeing as bandits are usually no more than a hungry rabble of people rather than mercenaries or any sort of organized structure i think of them as weak willed individuals that succumb to Macaroths manipulations more easily than the monks did due to their trained fortitude.

Also a promise of free meals would entice many a hungry soul into his midst if only for the meal, or so id think. if that is too easy i can change that

Sorry AT, but if it's any consolation, Xir'ain is a whole lot of fun to write.

No one has had to wait too long for their blueprints to be done so far, but we've only gotten up to five posts, which is easy enough to hit just by waiting for the others to post. If it does begin to slow your keeper down, just post for something other then your keeper while you wait. Constructs are perfect for perspective shifts, and if you don't have one of those just use a common minion.
