[Interesting note: 911 posts before this one (that's the emergency response number in the US)]

How does an ability to sort pms for those that rp in the pms? Just an idea to make responding easier and the pm area look cleaner

The PM system definitely could use some features that enable users to organize their stuff.

What kind of sorting did you have in mind?

Folders or like forums / sub-forums

So I could put my RPs in one folder that'll have a little number as the posts in it go up

and all of my Spam stuff could go in another

Hooray for sticky threads.

I'm gonna go through and remove the requests that have been fulfilled, so as to make the list less gargantuan.

It is done. There were over a dozen things to remove where I expected maybe 6, so congrats on getting through so much tedious work Mahz.

This is more of a personal request, but, if somehow possible, later on in the future, could we keep the trippy acid unicorns? And choose from a list of all the ones available? I think they're pretty awesome, and it would be a cool way to commemorate the Guild's new start later on down the road.

They're still the default avatar, so if you go into your profile editing page and press the Remove Avatar button you'll revert to your delightfully derpy unicorn.

There isn't really a list of them to choose from though, unless you feel like having a list of over 5,000 images to sort through. They were pseudo-randomly generated using this site, and if I recall correctly it was some permutation of our join date and user number that was put into the thing to generate each unicorn. There are distinct similarities in some of them, but they're all generated by a string of numbers unique to each user.

One thing we're wondering about... might it be possible to have the list formatted a bit on theme/topic? stuff related to PMs in one place, Topic tabs in another and so forth?

Yeah, I was considering doing that at first, but it was a ton of stuff to deal with and I haven't gotten around to it. I'll probably do it this weekend, now that you've reminded me of the idea.

I was wondering if we might be able to institute some system where the thread posters are able to delete posts from certain RPers if they are illogical or force the roleplay in a direction that does not make sense. For example, causing a situation that would likely instigate violence, but leaving again before that violence occured. Or, ignoring personality traits that would affect their character, such as intimidation. The purpose of this would be to correct the flow of the story if it goes sideways too quickly, bringing it back into the possible for the setting.

KaelRavenheart. What we read from your words there, is a near-perfect description of one of the guild moderators' primary roles. Deleting other people's posts, while convenient for GMs, is a power that is generally best left in the hands of guild staff.

When people make minor mistakes like forgetting whether something affects their character IC, then correct them in the OoC.

Hmmm, all right. Though, I'm a bit confused as to how the mods would do it. Would it be that the GM would send in a request to delete those posts, and they would read them and decide whether to do it? Because, in the scenerios I've experienced, oftentimes the person who posted the post that caused the disruption is either not willing to change it, or is simply not informed quickly enough and the other roleplayers react to the disrupting scenario, causing the RP to spiral into a whole bunch of conflict and confusion. That is what the GM would want to avoid. Then the only way to fix it after that would be to message each person who'd posted after the disrupting post and inform them that the original post had been changed (assuming the original poster was willing to change it) and hope that they don't all complain about losing their posts and ideas that they put time into.

Mahz is planning on crafting the moderation system to allow GMs to remove disruptive posts from their thread without actually deleting the content. Quote taken from this post.

Mahz said This time I want to empower members to do basic things like re-title and move their topic. GMs should be able to "hide" user content, and hidden content is still visible to its creator (i.e. GMs shouldn't be able to destroy content). -- This is actually how even my delete button works except I haven't yet programmed the creator-can-still-see-it function. "Can you move my topic?" is such a waste of time for both the member and the moderator slave.

That should serve your purposes just fine whenever it becomes a released feature.

Now I only really looked over the first post to see if this has been asked, but it's more of a possible update on the PM system? I currently have 1328 PM's and it's driving me a little crazy. Some Pm's could be removed all together since they are no longer used. I was just wondering how that's all coming along?
