Izumi is not your average girly girl, she enjoys hobbies that most girls would her age would probably never be interested in like martial arts for one, and she practices it avidly. If you wanted to describe her the first three words that would come to mind is your typical tomboy, not to say she doesn't have a feminine side. Although she would never openly admit or show it she still enjoys things like cooking and shopping. She can be a little hard to get along with as she tends to be a little cold when you first meet her, she doesn't really talk much to people she doesn't know and prefers to stay to herself generally shying away from most social activities, in fact the only person she is actively sociable with is her little brother, however she's not always cold and hostile, if you have the patience to stick around long enough she'll open up to you.
Background:
The past isn't something that she likes to think about, most of Izumi's childhood was spent taking care of her brother, when she was ten she along with her brother lived with her grandparents until she was sixteen. While they took a liking to her brother they wanted nothing to do with her because of the resemblance of looks and behavior to their duaghter. On her sixteenth birthday she left their house leaving her brother behind to live on her own and is currently going to school and working. While she doesn't keep in contact with her grandparents she and her brother try to stay in contact as much as she can
