Name: Samantha "Sam" BlackAge: 25Gender: FemaleAppearance: Sam stands at about six feet tall, and 190 lbs. Sam has green eyes and dusty brown hair. Her face looks pale and thin, as though she hasn't seen sunlight in years. She has a silver chain-like earring in one ear at all times, and she sometimes switches ears for the sake of switching ears. Sam prefers dark clothes under a hoodie, often having the hood up over her face.Side: HeroPersonality: Sam is not shy, but she prefers to not talk to anyone she doesn't know. At first glance, one would assume she is mute. However, once she is close to some she will show that is actually quite sarcastic and a prankster. Sam likes collecting old comic books about superheroes and the like, and sometimes will scrounge up something related to her interests to wear. Sam will flinch at large movements reflexively, and often doesn't know that she does so. Sam wants to be a hero, but hates her power. She wishes she had something cooler like neon or smoke. However, her personal skill with what she has is astonishing, even though her dislike is apparent.Sam doesn't smile a lot, but she enjoys a good joke and is often cracking one. She can be counted on for awkward, witty banter. Often times messing up words or not quite getting a funny joke in before the fight. She can be protective of those she likes, but it takes a long time for her to consider anyone her friends or anything close to her old family.Biography: At eight years old, Sam was not unusual. She was happy little girl raised in a perfect Christian home. Then came the day that the DUP started testing for Bio-terrorists. Sam resisted being scanned at first, pulling her hand away from the man in the uniform, but ultimately she was scanned. She was tested positive for the Conduit gene, her family all but shoved their broken daughter at the agents. When she wailed and cried for 'Mom', her family merely moved on without her. Sam, in a highly emotional state, flailed around and scraped her knee.As she tried to find her feet, a DUP agent tried to roughly grab her. Panicked, the girl lashed out. The small amount of blood pooling on her knee speared the agent's hand. She was taken to solitary to only be trained in her skill by herself. When she started to experiment by cutting herself to make herself bleed and play with blood. She tried to kill guards by looking at them, but it never worked. When she attempted to escape, they drained half her blood away and ensured that she remained in a comatose state. She was released recently, and given half the blood taken from her in blood packs for self defense.Power: Blood manipulationPower-: What can she do? She can manipulate external blood to become as hard as steel, or create constructs in her place. She cannot control internal blood unless it is tainted by her own. Her power improves as she fights large crowds. She carries packs of her own blood to use in a fight.Blood spikes: Using pools of blood around her, she can create large spikes stronger than steel to spear her opponents and drain the blood out of them to use at her will.Blood manipulation: Using only opponent's blood, she can whip it around and spear her opponents with it. She can then use the blood drained out of the previous enemy to 'soften' the blood she used to whip or spear enemies.Plasma Shift: She becomes blood, floating around as slow or quick as she wishes. She can 'enter' her enemies if there is something for her to slip through like the nose or mouth. If those are sealed, then she cannot enter her opponent and kill/subdue them from the inside.Platelet Shield: Can erect a shield and harden blood to protect her from bullets. If she wants to use the blood again, she has to stay behind it and 'melt' the blood manually. If left as is, then after five minutes the shield can only be destroyed by outside forces. Sam cannot remove the barrier using her powers.Blood Constructs: Using her own blood, and only her own blood, Sam can create constructs that move and act more freely than using other's blood. She often uses this to make a sword or handgun that fires blood bullets. She can also make a doppelganger, but this take more blood than making a sword or gun. She uses this only in emergencies.Other: Fi is almost always slightly anemic.

This rp is set in 2056. So how long has the DUP been shut down? I'd assume since Delsin did his stuff it'd go for about a year for relocation, but I think Second Son was set in 2014. Therefore it's been about forty one years since the DUP has existed. Naturally this makes Ellie's and Sam's histories impossible given their age. Unless the DUP existed for longer than the year I estimated.
Uh... This may present an issue going forward.
