Adrastos's face was pleasant with a shade of confusion "I have no enemies besides human, and since this conversation has gone on so long now I would dare even say we are at least friends wouldn't you say? My name is Adrastos."

Chantelle just looked at him and disappeared under the water, appearing behind him and grabbing his shoulders gently.
"Chantelle. Nice to meet you Adrastos. Thats an unusual name"
The sun glistened down into the shining water and she swam in front of him, splashing the water in his face and giggling.
"And I agree, we are quite possibly friends."

He used his long arm to splash a small wave of water at her "It a pleasure to be your friend Chantell. As for my name, im told is is old Greek its supposed to mean courage. It was the name my..."he paused to think of the best word to use before settling on what to say"Former employers gave me. Not the nicest people but very creative with names".

"So tell me, man of courage. What was you previous situation? I wonder, you must of lived in the human world. I did once, but they don't tend to like seeing someone getting their blood drained. The victim did though, normally had some fun before they were empty."
Chantelle grinned devilishly, but looked into his eyes in wonder and awe. It was weird how people's eyes told a different story. Something must of hurt him before, he seemed so brave yet so scared at the same time. It was intriguing.

His tone was a little broken as he decided might as well be honest "Well employers is a nice way of putting it. Was their guard dog and blacksmith, they tought me the trade, clothed and fed me in exchange for being the family weapon. I thought I was part of the family, a freak accident, but still a member that is until I disobeyed 1 order and they turned me in to the city guard to be flayed and eventually burned at the stake. Turns out they killed my real parents when i was a baby and decided to use me from then on. A long term investment. So luckily I escaped the stockade and made my way here...after a quick stop at their home. So being used my whole life has left me a little guarded about trust". He didnt enjoy talking about it, too many bad memories of betrayal

With an understanding nod and hearing the pain in his voice and the hurt in his eyes, she smiled and her fangs retracted, making her seem more attractive yet more frightening.
"How do you trust me? A Vampire? In the same water as you?"
She swam so she was inches away from him and began to tread water, looking up at him and back at his neck. She wouldn't do it, but she would love to see the reaction.

"How do I trust you?, that easy your not a liar. Have you killed? Yeah, but none of us are saints..." His smile returned he liked this girl she was full of interesting possibilities "just because our races are at war doesnt mean you and I are and above all else I like you, I see no reason to distrust you"

Chantelle got close to his neck so he could feel her breathe then let her fangs run across without leaving a mark and backed away.
"Surprising. But thats a fair point. Its true, you seem to trust me and I seem to trust you and I quite like you too. You intrigue me"

As she ran her fangs over his neck Adrastos heart began to race with excitement. He did his best to stay calm but it showed through. "I like to think that im an intriguing man, or at least I hope im able to hold the attention a lovely lady"

Chantelle heard the heartbeat race and giggled, staring into his eyes to see the desire they held.
"You enjoy my company, and my touch. It thrills you"
Her body glistened and shone in the water and she sat on a nearby rock, squeezing the excess water from her hair and smirking directly at him.

His eyes could lie no better than he could so he went with the truth "on all three you are correct, you my dear are a rare find. I feel as though too good to be true, should my eyes look away I worry you would be gone like an angelic figment of my imagination." He too decided the dip may have gone on long enough, it was time to dry in the sun he slowly emerged from the water until only his upper body was out. Though he stopped cold, as he realized something. When the change occured Adrastos's body grew, unfortunately too much for clothes which had a tendency to rip. Which was exactly what had happened to his boxers he turned to look into the center of the lake and there they where floating there like a cosmic taunt

Chantelle seen his eyes wonder to the middle of the lake and laughed, before looking back at him and his awkward appearance.
"You can leave the water. I swim naked constantly, don't worry about it. And I am a rare find indeed, cause most who find me never live to tell the tale the day after. Well humans mainly. "
The sun began to dry hr as she leant back on the rock, the sun hitting her skin and making her body shine with the water that remained on her. Her blonde hair hung down as it began to dry into waves.

"Well i guess its fortunate the gods made me a werewolf and not a normal man" he stepped out of the water confidently and moved to a patch of grass to lay on his back. The water dripping off his muscles, this was the best day in far too many bad to remember. She shone in the light always drawing his attention. What had he done to deserve this he kept thinking

"Every good thing is also a curse, my love"
Chantelle spoke, closing her eyes and embracing the heat of the sun and the cool breeze that occasionally sweeped past her. The water dripping of her body and hair pretty quickly.
"Same as every curse has it's pro's"

Adrastos sat up abruptly coughing out a response " Interesting choice of words" he was referring to the love comment but tried to hide it by shifting to "what curse are you referring too" he tried to lay his head back down and act calm while watching her

Chantelle still had her eyes closed and sighed in perfect stillness before speaking again.
"We all have a curse, I'm a vampire, you're a werewolf. Humans are curses but every curse has its good reasons for existing"

"Humans if nothing else are cursed with the shortsightedness of mortality. They only think in quick maximum pleasure for their short years. Not like us, we are gifted...eternal life, well close to it anyway. We can enjoy life to a much more desirable end. Granted that comes at the cost of eating or drinking other creatures but I wouldnt go as far as to say we are cursed. " he laughed a little "despite all the trouble and tragedy im still kinda an optimist"

"Wise words. I'm just me. I believe in many and nothing"
Chantelle stood up, grabbed her bottle and took a few sips, licking her lips and moaning slightly at the perfect and organic taste. Blood was so delightful.

As she drank the scent of blood hit the air, Adrastos's nose picked it up. He unconsciously licked his lips at the idea of a nice bloody kill. His inner animal was starting to take over, all he could think of was a mixture of hunting a fresh kill and how beautiful she was. reason was almost gone before he snapped back "You bring out the beast in me...I kinda like it" he smirked playfully.

"Well, thats a good thing right?"
She sat beside him and her fangs were out, she gave him the bottle and smirked.
"Have some, its good and fresh. Humans shouldn't wander near here."
