"RIGHT, EVERYONE DOWN AND INTO GROUPS!" The Mother looked at her sheet of paper. She glanced at Rascal as he entered. "Rascal, you are with Sister Mary Lawrence. Chop chop!" After sorting out groups and piling everyone into rather dirty coaches, they set off for the Water park. As they drew nearer to the park, she heard the astonished children gasp in awe. The park was huge, with brightly coloured slides arching and twisting into the water. The water was a deep blue from the chlorine and glimmered in the sun of the summer's day.
Evelyn managed to escape the sisters and run. She dived into the shadows and waited. When she was sure they had left her, she snuck out, finding herself in front of the 'Forbidden door'. It was ancient and worn away, the once dazzling white paint now faded and grey. She looked around for anyone watching her, before reaching out toward the cold, metal doorknob. Somewhat intrigued, she turned the handle to peep inside. Suddenly, the door swung open with immense force and knocked her cold.
Evelyn woke to silence and a firmly closed door. She touched her head and winced. Looking down, she saw a piece of paper with a drawing onit. Lifting it up so she could see, she realised it was a
photo of a family. When she turned it over, she read some words.
R.I.P MARY EVEREST (LEFT) AND TERENCE EVEREST (RIGHT). 1967-2001. She secretly slipped it in her pocket, got her swimming costume on and ran to the coach. She managed to get on just before it left.
