Backstory/Personality: Aria is known by many names, for the many things, sentient or beast that she's killed in her short life. Known as the only Dragon Slayer in a thousand years and a Demon of War, she is feared by those she's fought alongside, and even more so by old enemies. Now at the age of only nineteen, Aria has more kills attached to her name than some of the most talented and experienced warriors in Mirasoria. Still, she admits to none of it, either because she wishes to forget, or perhaps just enjoys the peace that she gets without people trying to hire the most deadly human in Drakovia.
Years ago, a community of samurai broke away from the Shirokaze Clan to set up a new settlement in Southern Drakovia. There were no problems at first, and the locals welcomed their new friends from the East - if the Empire didn't start hostilities, everyone in the south could have prospered... Desertia's now-late Emperor decided that he would require more slaves and more land to the north; Drakovia itself. Rather than risking a catastrophic open war with the Empire, King Ares let the peoples in the south of the country form militias, offering them military training and supplying them with everything they needed to hold back the Emperor's wrath.
These militiamen were the first generation of the Drakovian Resistance. They fought the Empire wherever they could, often leaving home undefended in favour of hitting the enemy harder and faster. And of course, the Empire took advantage of this once they got their act together. While the militia were hunting down a decoy caravan, Praetorians rode into the towns and villages that housed the resistance troops and relentlessly burned them to the ground. And after doing so, the remaining resistance members were crushed in a military campaign led by one General Aurelius Nexus, but there were survivors. Those border settlements were turned into ghost towns, graveyards. Not a man, woman or child was spared in the samurai settlement. Save for one...
Held in her mothers dying arms until the Praetorians left, the only survivor from the settlement was a child aged just eight, Aria Koizumi. One of the Resistance leaders, a Shirokaze man, visited the ruined village and found Aria scavenging through corpses to survive. Surprised by the child's spirit, he tossed her his black-bladed sword and offered to train her in its use, giving her a chance to live again - there was no hesitation as the child agreed to go with him. She would become the first of a new generation of the Drakovian Resistance, soon followed by other children who were affected by the war. They learned how to fight together and grew strong bonds as friends and comrades. But those bonds would be tested when their war really started...
Aria lost her comrades one-by-one, each skirmish taking another life that she treasured. With every death, she grew more and more distant emotionally from everyone, but she became more violent and protective of everyone in battle. It began scaring the hell out of friend and foe alike, because they just couldn't understand how or why that gentle kid had become such a terrifying monster on the battlefield. The Imperial Praetorians and her allies called her 'Rabbit' due to her small and innocent appearance, but that name soon became coupled with 'Red' or 'Bloody'. The war wasn't going anywhere. The Resistance wasn't going to be destroyed, and the Empire certainly wouldn't stand down. So, aged 18, Aria left the Resistance and moved to Drachenvice to try and live in peace. She'd had enough of war, enough of losing those she loved. After selling a bunch of loot gained in the war, she bought a shop and started an Odd Jobs business. Even though the young woman tried to live her life in peace, that black and golden blade of hers would never rest due to the nature of her work. Her mind would never rest either... Every loss suffered was etched into Aria's heart, no matter what she did she couldn't forget. To this day, Aria is in Drachenvice running her business all by herself.
