They made for their Cousins, in a town a few weeks travel away, it was easy enough to travel, the field were full of crops, the tree's full of fruit, Their cousin's family was not so well off as Tilts had been, they owned a small house just on the limits of the town and ran a way-station for travellers or messengers. Tilt and his sisters had to work for their living, but the work was honest, and they got all the newest news first from the messengers that came through. Tilt, his sisters and his cousin became firm friends and spent much of their time together, ofcourse the twins had always been inseparable. When Tilt was 16 his cousins father died, it had not been unexpected, a few years earlier a badly trained horse had kicked his ribs in and he'd never truly recovered, still without his help they could not maintain the way station, too many mouths to feed. Tilt, his sisters and his cousin left to join the military, with expectations of adventure and glory.

When it came time to leave he was ready to go, his mother would be moving closer into town where she'd have people to be with, still he'd find time to visit ever now and again he promised himself.
