Smogon: I call bullshit (Pokemon)

I've been going on about this since last night. Still not satisfied with the amount of rage I've put out.

To explain:

Smogon said Swagger has officially received its boot out of the Overused tier!

So...according to Smogon, I can use Kyurem-B, Thundurus-T, and fucking Heatran all I want, but my little keyring can't have his Swagger? WHAT. THE. FUCK? This seriously pisses me off, because I only like Klefki BECAUSE of the Swagger + Foul Play combo (currently 2nd fave of all Pokemon, next to Hydreigon). I understand that they try to create a balanced environment, but they're abusing their power a little if they take away Swagger. Taking away certain Pokemon from OU? Of course; I don't wanna contend with Giratina or Mewtwo. Take away certain Mega Stones? Sure thing, Mega Blaziken is ridiculously OP, and Mega Lucario, Gengar, or Kangaskhan can be a major pain in the ass. Take away certain abilities? Uhm...what if I wanted my Glaceon to have Snow Cloak? But this? Bull. Fucking. Shit.

I can easily name at least two counters to everything I just listed after Mega Blaziken, too!

Here goes

Mega Lucario - anything faster than him that has Earthquake, or anything with STAB Earthquake & Sturdy. Choice Scarf'd Garchomp and Max-ATK Sturdy Steelix can probably do this easy as pie. Boom, no more Megacario.

Mega Gengar - Anything with STAB Earthquake that can take a hit from this guy. Stick a Focus Sash on Golurk or something if you must, but Mega Gengar is far from infallible. Even a Max-Speed Jolly Aerodactyl with Crunch would work, BEFORE Mega!

Mega Kangaskhan - Did you know Mega Banette gets priority Skill Swap? Now he has Parental Bond, and Megaskhan has fucking Prankster! XD what can he even do with that!?

Evasion Abilities/Moves - Odor Sleuth, Aerial Ace, Aura Sphere, any of the plethora of moves that ignore evasion buffs, or the handy ability No Guard.

Swagger - Lum Berry, Own Tempo, Snatch, Magic Coat, Mega Absol, Mirror Move, Me First. See how many counters that is? Fucking seven! And I'm sure I missed one, too!

See? For a website that claims to do in-depth research on Pokemon battles to help their members come out on top, they sure are stupid fuckers when it comes to what should and shouldn't be banned from OU. Now I have to play in Ubers if I want to use my damn Klefki, and god help me if Smogon learned my actual Glaceon in Y had Snow Cloak AND Swagger! Oh dear, what ever would they do!? Ban me to death?

Seriously, if any of you Smogon shits are reading this, do a bit of research on your shit before banning it. All these unnecessary bans are easy to counter, and yet we still have fricking Thundurus and Latios in OU. Why is Swagger banned? Fucking WHY!?

Banning swagger sounds retarded. I'd like a link to the reasoning because from the top of my head it sounds well, retarded. It doesn't shut you down completely but makes it a 50/50. Getting two layers of spikes off a swagger is, while very good, not game-breaking IMHO. EDIT: Ok I read it and it's more an annoyance ban than viability ban. That's retarded.

As for everything else though; evasion makes it a hax game, taking away prediction and replacing it with one that relies on luck. Mega Luc and Kanga are banned because you're guaranteed to sacrifice at least one mon to deal with it if they're played right regardless of team. Luc got extremespeed which is a huge deal to go along with it's power (read: 2hko errthing all day errday). Kanga has retarded attack and an ability that breaks sub/sash/sturdy. Also GL switching in that ghost type because crunch will eat you alive with or without parental bond (even -1 EQ is a guaranteed 2hko after SR on mega banette.) They're beatable by revenge kills, sure, but pro-tip; switching is a thing. Which ironically brings me to Gengar. Gengar is OP based on a support characteristic and can dismantle your team easy and early. Sub-toxic checks and counters for your sweeper, sacrifice gengar, go to town. In fact I'd rather use my mevo slot for gengar than the other two. That's how good it is. Yeah, it can be killed by plenty of stuff, but that's not the problem; the problem is that it will destroy everything else without giving them a chance to switch out netting tons of free kills/cripples.

OU is a shitty metagame anyway though. I'm glad they're trying to trim it, because if you played BW you would get that facing rain stops being fun after fighting 20 near identical teams in a row and that's exactly what they're trying to avoid now. Sure it might get some controversy and I don't really play pokémon anymore anyway, but I don't think most bannings are inherently bad. Especially because they try to ban certain sets instead of entire pokémon.

Also I swear to god BW OU made me hate politoed.

While I can't use my Klefki in Showdown anymore, it did present a good chance to test out some other Pokemon builds, such as a crit-STAB focused Drapion, and a Choice Band Gigalith. Gotta find that silver lining...it's silver like my Klefki ^_~
