The way this story is, is going to have a Touhou set to it.
At least a couple hundred years ago, there was a world were only humans were aloud to live in peace. Humans could live and no demons would attack such, the catch was, that if one human were die and roam the after earth, the seal would be broken between the realm of the underworld and the realm of humans forever. Shrine Maidens and Magicians from around the world help fight against demons all sorts from trying to break the seal.
There was one vampire named Neferata Hamilton that was clever enough for the Magicians and Maidens to realize what she was doing. She found out that there was a certain that would let the dead roam the "Filthy" humans earth without them realizing there was one around, so she killed an innocent bystander that she knew would roam around the after earth for eternity, but made her a fake soul. Because of this, demons started to come to the human world, making the humans panic, wondering what next thing would happen.
Its been a couple hundred years and no one has found Neferata yet, or the roaming ghost. The seal is almost completely broken from both worlds, Maidens and Magicians start to panic, even some of the demons that they called their home and humans that live aside them are hoping that they will find them one day.
