A Naruto RP?

Hello everyone.

I was wondering if anyone would like to participate in a Naruto RP? I am completely new to RPing, so from what I've seen, this is going to be low-to-mid casual, as I DO have some experience with writing short stories and what not. I'm still thinking of a plot, but there will definitely be no canon characters, though I will probably keep Sarutobi in as the Hokage, for nostalgia. Other than that, no other canons.

I was thinking that, maybe, we are academy students, and soon we will be taking our exam to become genin? I'm not looking for many players. Maybe 6? Three genin on two different squads? Or just three players as the genin? Or simply a free-roam sort of deal?

Feedback would be appreciated, and as I am new to these waters, I will need at least two Co-GMs.

So I'm kind of interested, but I think I'll need to point out that I have not read Naruto for a long time because, um... Honestly I think the setting and powers are far more interesting than the actual story. ^^; Which hopefully won't be too much of a problem, but just thought I should mention it.

...Also my favourite characters back when I read it were Lee and Guy, so I'd most likely make a taijutsu specialist. But we shall see how things turn out.

Hmm. Well, I'm none too keen on playing fresh genin, if only for the ages involved.

And I don't really care for the dramatic plot revelations (or, indeed, the plot itself) and all that crap. Still, the earlier stuff's fine by me, and the powers are fun.

Though there is the issue in that I would once again be expanding the Hyuuga, so, uh. XD

@Rin: I haven't even watched the anime or read the manga yet. The information I've gathered is from the wiki and actual stories written on fanfiction.net. So, yeah, after doing that for the past year, I think I know a great deal of things. That being said, I know nothing of the canon plot. Just the setting and shtuff.

@Daze: I was actually thinking of bumping the ages up to 15, mostly because I don't like the thought of 12 year olds going on missions. Not a morality thing, just a 'common sense' thing, haha. What do you mean by expanding the Hyuga, however? One of my favorite clans by the way. ^^

Okay, so I was thinking of making a Uchiha who focuses mostly on the art of the tanto, and ninjutsu, surprise surprise. Don't hate me for that, heh. Do you guys think that there should be two teams of genin, or only one (In which it can be a four-man squad if Goki joins in).

I'm cool with an Uchiha, as long as he doesn't have the mystic eyes of hax incarnate Sharingan. XD

And from what I've been hearing since I dropped it, Naruto is one of those series where the fanfiction is far better than the canon story so... Yeah. XD

Ah, I see. I thought you meant doujutsu-wise.

Also...well, if you want I can take the Uchiha out of the RP if there's complaints on the Sharingan. That would also be eliminating one of the major clans...but we'll see.

The existence of the Uchiha is not a problem. A character who can copy anything aside from bloodline-related abilities as just one function of their eyes is a bigger deal.It's more 'Uchiha with the Sharingan'. XD

I see! Well, I don't need to be a Uchiha, and I don't feel keen on creating one, but limiting myself to not using the bloodline. xD Custom-created clans are available to create as well, so that's probably what I'm going to do.

Oh and by the way Asuu, Genin shouldn't be able to utilize two chakra natures unless they have a special Kekkei Genkai.

@Drummer: Ah, I see! Good to know. Thanks. We could probably use an Aburame. I've decided on a Nara who utilizes his shadows more offensively for stealth and such. Basically an espionage/infiltration/assassination-type character. Utilizing the standard lazy/bored charm, of course.

Yeah, pretty much decided I'm going with someone who focuses on taijutsu, because punching people so hard they explode is the best ninja art.
