ok. that. was hot.

Her eyes widened slightly as the thought went through her mind, uninhibited. Why was she thinking something that lewd? wasn't she better than that? Her eyes trailed over his stance after he had gotten his knives perfectly wedge into the tree in a beautiful and smooth motion. No. She was not better than that. That had been completely hot.

...who knew she found knife throwing to be attractive?

Getting her mind back to a focus, she stopped bouncing the dagger on her hand and slipped it into her jacket, taking the other two that he had offered to her. So...ground your feet like that...quare your shoulders...and flick the wrist like tha-

Her knife landed in the tree, but lower down and to the right. Her eyes squinted slightly, "lower left lung..."

Connor smiled and blushed as he caught her watching him., and he ran his hand through his hair in mild embarrassment, but couldn't help but feel slightly proud at himself. He cleared his throat, and watched as she slipped the dagger she had in her jacket, and watched as she worked on her stance, throwing the knife, embedding it in a tree

"that was good" Connor said "will slow down most supernatural beings, especially with the silver daggers, and much better then my first go. I hit Marl's tire, instead of the tree" He said, moving to help her with her stance, "right, you just need to life your arm up slightly, and flick your wrist more quickly" He said, lifting her arm up slightly, "When you get better, you won't even think about it" He promised, "Hit the heart three times in a row, and We can move on to the gun"

her second one landed closer to his, her third one, once she had gotten it, landed even to hi, but scraped the bark as it flew past the tree. She went and retrieved it. She would continue throwing knives, and secretly oggling him whenever she got him to demonstrate for her again. She felt that she enoyed the close personal time with him...and the chance to see his skills in throwing knives.

it was mostly through the night before she had gotten them all in the general heart area. When the third one sunk into the bark, she looked at it closely and grinned as she realized that she had done it. "Ok, you can confirm that, right?" she asked, excited for possibly achieving her goal...and to move onto the gun.

Connor watched her, smiling. He knew when she asked him to demonstrate again that it was to simply watch him, and oggle him. It wasn't his first time teaching a girl, although it was the first time he had really enjoyed it. He happily watched her, as she had watched him. But he tried to make sure she didn't catch him watching her.

He watched her hit the tree three times in the right spot, and moved over to check it over, nodding, "Yep, perfect" He said, with a smile, and giving her a quick hug. "Alright, we can go on to the gun. Easier then the knives, since its just pulling the trigger" He said, "And aiming"

He went over to pick up the second gun, taking the other from his waist band, and loading both with regular ammo. He collected up the knives, putting the aside, and then proceeded to show her how to shoot, instructing her. He shot his gun three times in quick succession, hitting more or less the same spot each time.

"You have to be careful of the recoil, but other then that, you take aim and fire" He said, stepping aside, and letting her have a go.

unlike him, she had been too focussed on her aiming, and trying to improve it to really notice him watching her the same way she did him. The few times she did catch a glance, she assumed it was to watch how she was doing in case he needed to step in again.

But with her victory in knife throwing, she eagerly went over to the guns and prepared for his instruction. Surprisingly though, as he instructed her, she found herself just nodding in agreement...as if this talk was way familiar to her. memories started floating in, not as fast or as upfront..but enough to tell her why she found it so familiar.

When he finally handed her gun, she smiled and nodded. With very little hesitation, she seemed to easily slide into a good stance, aimed and took a shot. it was just a little high from dead center. She paused after the first shot, looked at the gun and then where she had gotten her shot in.

"Hm...you were right."

Then with a grin she aimed and shot twice more. This left no marks, but actually seemed to drill the hole deeper. She shifted slightly, repeating with three more shots, again only drilling a single hole. Perfectly in the middle. She smirked. "But it's still much nicer to aim than a prototype rifle."

Connor watched her aim, and slide into a good gunman stance, and he raised an eyebrow, watching curiously as she shot quickly, drilling hole into the tree continuously. Connor had thought that might lead to sparks and the tree catching on fire, but obviously not. He was quite impressed, and assumed that somewhere in her head, was locked the memories of how to use a gun, or else she was just a natural at it.

He smiled, "Well then, you should keep it. I have plenty" He dug into one of his pockets, taking out a handful of ammo, and giving it to her. "For the heart remember. They're plain bullets though, so all it will do is slow them down. I don't want to give you the silver, just in case the gun gets turn on you" He saidd, the last part softly, clearly worried.

He looked to the sky, seeing the sky lightening. "Come on, we should head back" He said, giving her a few knives as well, and putting the rest over his person, "before the sun comes up. We should get to sleep early too, and head out when the sun is down" he felt like the quicker they got out of this town, the better.

She grinned, taking the bullets and putting them in her jacket pocket, sliding the safety on the gun and putting it away. She glanced at him when he finished talking about the shooting and stuff, "Hell, Connor...if you want me to just slow them down, I'll just shoot them in the damn kneecap."

She rubbed her temple slightly but that was it. No more headaches, so more slippery mental state. Despite what Connor had said earlier, she could tell things were getting more dangerous. Getting her hands on the gun had unlocked the in-between memories she had needed, and since so much was unlocked, the rest of her had followed. It also reminded her that she had business to do. How dare he tell her she didn't pass as a hunter...that old bastard. Not that he was a bad guy...but still.

She kind of shrugged, slipping the knives away. She went over to him, taking his hand in hers. "Alright. Heading out sounds good...we can get to Salem, search and then get back to Marl. Right?"

Connor rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah, heart, knee caps, feet, legs, whatever so long as it slows them down" he said, watching her rubbed her temple, but she didn't seem to be in pain like she had before. He collected all the bullet shells, and made sure there was nothing that could tie them here, except for the broken and punched out trees.

He smiled as she took his hand, and began to walk, "I have an idea of where in Salem we can go. There's an area of scorched ground, brought on by phoenix flame, where an old hunter use to live years and years and years ago. A witch I met about a year ago said there's old magic there, so...we can try there"

As they cross the road, and began back to the inn, he detoured to the car, checking that it was alright, and then headed to the inn, "And then, yeah, back to Ma-" He stopped talking and walking suddenly and looking about, tensing up. .his senses telling him there was something nearby.

Elizabeth smiled as they held hands too, but also because he was talking about phoenixes and witches. She had been a vampire for a long time, yes, but she had been exposed mostly to her kind and werewolves...and since she had come to hate her kind, had not had much of an opinion about werewolves, and preferred human company...she never had gone out of her way to meet up with any other sort of supernatural. Now she wondered about witches..were they humans or some sort of supernatural that passed off as human?

She stopped as Connor had when they got to the inn, watching him, she could tell he knew someone was there. She found herself looking in its direction, having honed her skills a while ago. "vampire" she said, looking back over at Connor, "and probably the one that gave you your dream."

Connor nodded, eyes darting over the inn, over the carpark, waiting, watching, and trying to get a better sense. "Marl" And he started to run across the inn's grounds, to head towards Marl's room, looking about him as he ran, a stake in hand.

But Marl was gone, like he knew he would be, his truck gone, his room empty, and Connor let out a slow sigh, looking about again before moving back towards Elizabeth, but he kept the stake in hand, and kept looking over his shoulder, tense and ready for anything.

He knew what it meant if a vampire was near, especially one that could give him a dream. He looked up at the lighten sky. He stopped at their room, opening the door, and looking in the room. Yet nothing was disturbed, no one was there, and Connor then knew someone was watching them. He looked to Elizabeth, "I'd say leave now, but that would be a mistake" he said, "I need sleep, and the sun is rising"

Elizabeth followed him, but stayed a little behind. She had already figured that Marl would have been gone by now, since he was already packing what little he had when Connor had taken her out for training. So, she let Connor do his thing, keeping her senses on.

She followed him into the room then, and quietly grabbed her medicine after he had looked about, and she couldn't feel the vampire in their room. "The sun won't be a problem." she reminded him, taking her medicine, "You should sleep....with your stake....I can stand watch for your anonymous admirer, in case they have my sort of medicine. It will probably take less blood than breathing all day....and our door is visible from the lobby. "

She looked him him, concerned. Being watched and followed was more maddening than actually having to fight whatever is following you...and he did need his sleep. She could stay awake a few hours for him while he recharged.

Connor ran a hand through his hair, thinking this through. Then he shook his head, "If you don't mind driving, we could leave now. The next towns a few hours away, we could stop there and continue on tonight" He said, honestly not feeling safe, and not wanting to sleep in a town with a vampire who could give him the dreams...

He checked his duffel over, his laptop, and everything else, finding nothing touched. His packed his laptop away, and zipped his duffel up, looking around the room. He did stop to open the map he'd grabbed, looking it over, to read which way to go, searching for the quickest route, but really, it was just all one road from here. He folded the map up, putting it away.

Mostly, he just didn't want to sleep, if the dreams would come. It would be better to just be on the road, and if the vampire around didn't have the medication that Elizabeth had, they could get a few hours on the road, and stay ahead.

"So I'll sleep, and you'll drive?" He asked

She started packing her things away, if only to be neat about it. But she was going to leave her laptop out so that she could do some work on it. Once all that was done, she went into the bathroom, used a towel to wipe off her sunscreen, and reapplied a layer. She grinned a bit to herself as he asked about her driving, amused though she understood why he would try to avoid sleeping if he could. "So, assuming I can remember how to drive huh?" she asked with a raised brow and looking over at him.

She looked a bit like she was being serious but a couple seconds later she broke out in an amused grin again, "Kidding, of course I do. So, get everything together so we can get going and you can get your sleep." she said, walking over and shutting her laptop. Her work can wait until another time Connor wasn't awake or nearby. This upcoming vampire army deal has her thinking, and she needed to talk to Marl about it because it could be something really dangerous coming up on the horizon...for all of them.

And yeah, she half expected Connor to piece it togetehr now and hug the crap out of her. She smiled a little inwardly, kind of looking forward to it.

Connor hadn't thought about that, hadn't thought that she might not remember how to drive, but then, she had known what the lobby was, so it was a honest mistake. Although, he wasn't sure if there were lobbies 300 years ago. He looked at her, blinking, and then she smiled. That smile...he returned the smile, and as she walked passed, shutting the laptop, he hugged her close. "welcome back" He said softly, and sighed, pulling away, grabbing his duffel, laptop and stopped at the freezer, taking out the blood packets and putting them in the cooler, before heading to the car. He loaded it up, before returning to the inn room.

He did a quick sweep, making sure there was nothing that could tie them to this place, and grabbed the room key, smiling at Elizabeth and saying, "are you ready to go?" He checked the trash, ,snatching up the empty blood packets, knowing that if Marl had seen them, anyone could. He'd find another bin to throw them out in, and was then redy to go.

Elizabeth grabbed she stuff, glad that Connor figured out that she was back and understanding that he might be too tired to do much else then give her a hug. A small trail of thoughts about what he could do went through her mind, but she halter that with a firm mental 'no.'

Doing a sweep of her own, she saw nothing left and she nodded to him. "I'm am ready." she said smiling at him. "Also, I'm sorry for...whatever the hell that was."

Connor smiled, giving her the keys to the car, starting to the side street where it was parked. He shrugged, looking back when she said sorry, "Wasn't your fault, whatever it was. No lasting damaging, and at least I know you can shot" he threw the empty blood packets into a bin on the way, and then slipped into the passenger seat of the car.

He buckled in, looking about them, but he didn't sense anything, didn't feel anything, so he relaxed just slightly, but was still worried that they would be followed. Well, at least he might be able to sleep without the dreams.

"Just follow the highway, and the next town will be up ahead, a few hours. We can find an inn when we are there, and stay the day" He said, stifling a yawn. knowing he needed att least a few hours sleep, and then he'd be fine. He gave her a smile

She smiled a bit, yeah, at least he knew she could shoot.

The keys jingled slightly as she got the key to the driver's door and slipped in, closing the door behind her and putting the key into the ignition. She buckled up and adjusted the seat. Glancing into the mirror, she turned the car on and pulled it out nice and slowly, easing onto the highway, where she sped up to the top of the speed limit. No point it taking it easy when you're on a mission and being followed.

She looked over at him, patting his knee with a smile before returning her gaze to the road. "Don't worry now, just sleep."
She would even turn on the radio, tuning to a station with soothing music for him.

The sun rose as she drove through those few hours. Just the heat from the light coming through the windows made her uncomfortable, but it was a sacrifice she easily made for Connor to not have to deal with such harsh dreams as he had described to her.

When they made it to the next town, she quietly set up their stay at the inn and moved the car into a parking spot i the shade. Not wanting to wake Connor up, she sat and relaxed. Shuffling her laptop out and slowly, clumsily, surfed the internet. For the hell of it, she looked up "Marl the hunter"

"Don't worry now, just sleep" Those simple words made him smile, and he nodded, "I don't need to worry, with you at the wheel" He murmured, and let his eyes close. He was soon asleep, the heat as the sun rose and the ability to just lay back and not worry for a time allowed him to sleep easily.

He did not dream. Well, he didn't dream bad dreams. He most likely smiled as he slept. It wasn't long before he woke when she pulled up in the shade and he blinked awake, looking about. He let out a yawn, looking to see what Elizabeth was doing with her laptop.

He shifted to look and see what she was searching, and let out a soft groan. "I can not believe Marl never took that site down" If Elizabeth clicked on the page so cleverly titled hunting, Marl Style She would find a page that was dedicated to Marl, "I taught him how to use the internet and word document by helping him create a site. He was meant to take it down"

He sat up, "Come on, lets get inside and then you can sleep" He said, reaching for the duffel bag and his own laptop

She smiled amusedly at the website once she clinked on it. It was even better when Connor explained what it was all about and why it existed in the first place- which is a good thing because Elizabeth would have thought that the activity of hunting would have been kept a secret. Before she could get a good look at what the text said, however, Connor said that they should go inside and she should sleep.

Certainly, this was true...but she wanted to read what Marl had to say. Sighing a bit, she closed up her laptop, automatically putting it in sleep mode, and got her things, carrying it all inside.

"Well don't tell him to take it down yet. I want to read it...and I also need his email." she told him.

Connor carried his gear into the room, doing a customary sweep, shutting curtains and put the blood in the fridge, sitting down at the table, and opening his laptop, looking over as she asked for Marl's email.

"Oh, uh, yeah sure" He said, reciting Marl's address, wondering why she wanted it but not asking, but he did wonder if it was something to do with him or what she could possibly have to talk with him about. He was also worried that it might lead to another break down or something, but he would just have to trust something wouldn't happen like that again.

"Okay, but its not much of a site" He said iin reference to the site, to not take it down. He did hope that Marl had taken down Connor's photo though, that would just be embarrassing-18 year old Connor blinking against the light and confused, just after Marl had saved him.

Connor went to the sitem frowning when he saw that Marl had continued using it, virtually making it an online journal and telling people how to fight the darkness and the supernatural.
