Krolori means "the land of many" and in Krolori there are indeed many ways of living.
There are the Janirarl, or "the high born", who are a people of vast wealth. They can afford many luxuries that most other could not even dream of. But along with the glitz and glamour also come the great burden of responsibility. Being the lairds and ladies who watch of the many small town of the middle class, they must obey the laws of High King and Queen of Krolori. And they must keep their towns in line.
As for the Krolja, or "the land workers", they are the middle class who make up the many tiny towns of Krolori. They are pleasant folk for the most part, considering how they are treated by their Janirarl Lairds and Ladies. Some towns prosper and live healthy and happy lives, with no sick or homeless kinsmen. Others, however, with no valuable qualities are neglected and have severe problems. They are often the towns that cheat past the High Rulers' inspections. Not that it's their fault of course. The people of those tiny towns often sneak out and join the wild tribes in the Deep Forest.
Those tribes are the Rskalarn, "the wild packs", who live as many tribes under one rule. A different rule from the rest of Krolori. Their system is made up of many tribes led by Alphas under one Great Alpha. But instead of cutting themselves off from their people, the Alphas use old ways of living and live more like wolves among their people. They have no need of streets or castles. Nor do they have need for money or greed. They live by their Alpha's rules and do so loyally. Yet they are still feared and stay to their forest dwellings... mostly. (Hint: Imagine them as a cultural mix of Native American, Viking and Game of Thrones Wilding. They are Native American in that they respect their prisoners to a certain extend. Viking in that they are ruthless and violent raiders. Wilding in that they are loathed by everyone and loath those who are not them, especially aristocrats, and will go out of their way to make their enemies' lives difficult. Generally! Not all tribes are like this, but most in the North are.)
The North Kingdom and The South Kingdom
All pictures on the left are Northern attire. The North is a blend of what would be like medieval Europe, including Scandinavian, Germanic, UK cultures. There are only two season, winter and fall. It is almost always cold, some predatory animals are giant in size, but this is rare. The food is mostly hunted game, stews, warm ales, winter sewn harvests, and root grown vegetables. There are deep and vast forests, dense and dark. The mountains are jagged and giant, but many tribes are able to live there and in the forests at the feet of those mountains. There is an ocean on the other side of the mountains but it more than often frozen or partially so. There are lakes and rivers aplenty in the North, often being where villages and towns are settled. The capital of the Kingdom is where the King resides and is a fortressed looming city surrounded on all side by five miles of wasteland. There used to be a forest surrounding it, but it was burnt down and now the frigid ground has grown jagged and ugly, only weeds and thorns able to grow.
All pictures on the right are Southern attire. The South is a blend of medieval Middle East, France, Italy, Egypt, Tropical Islands, Hindu, and Native American cultures. There are three seasons, summer, fall and winter. It is a milder land with more variety in landscapes, such as many deserts, tropic jungles and grasslands. The animals are what you'd expect from their regions, but there is a range of large felines that grow into giant size and can adapt to all regions. The food is exotic and colorful in range, but little meat is used in the dishes, unless it is fowl or lamb. There are few rivers, but they are all quiet large in size and depth, often being were villages and towns are. There are a few oasis here and there if you get lucky and the marshy lands between the tropic jungles and grasslands is often where herds of animals are found. The tribes of this land are often nomadic. The capital is a Kingdom branching from one side of the major river to the other (much like ancient Egypt). The Queen resides in the coastal Palace during summer and fall, but goes to the other side of the river for winter. Gender roles tend to be a bit reversed in the Southern Kingdom, but men are respected as fathers, scholars and warriors.

Story so far....
The North and South are on the edge of war. There is fighting not only among the Krolja and Janirarl, but the constant raids from the Rskalarn, the tribes are getting more and more bold with every passing day in the Harsh Lands. The North's long winter is over and the South's long summer has just begun. If the marriage of the King of the North and Queen of the South does not go well, there will be war. Will you side with the strong and brutal North? Or the flexible and easy going South? Or maybe you simply wish to join the tribes and be free. Which ever side you chose, be careful. There are snakes in every gilded nest.
