Looks good. I'll work up my intro and get it posted soon. Is it okay if I have Sam discover the cat in my intro? If yes what does Dorothea look like as a cat?

Didn't see this post:

Sure thing, go for it. I'd just say she's a black and white cat.

Whatever you want to name anybody is ok by me. Seriously, just go for it, no need for consultation. This is your premise, after all. I'm used to just jumping in without any planning.

Waiting for RpG to be able to email me when there are posts and PMs -- would make life so much easier!

Where are they now, exactly? You said the Queen's lair, but what is it? Maybe her private witchcraft-y room where she lets her hair down, so to speak? Also where is the Queen at this time?

Just to avoid having to split unimportant things into multiple posts.

Um yeah I was thinking her lair type place, but having it be in the woods or something so Dorothea can't just escape and find her father or Liam. And so that way her secret evil practices are hidden.

I was going to have her come in, maybe carrying Dorothea all like "Look at me doing your job for you Marshal." And then taunt them both a bit, like showing Sam that the sun has come up on the other side and the mirror is no longer a doorway so she's stuck in this world, before tossing them into a dungeon or having them be taken out of Eldonia or something. So Sam and Dorothea can escape. And get lost in the woods. If that sounds good to you.

Pleeeeease don't tell me your plans unless you're really stuck and need to brainstorm. x.x Planning ahead kills it for me, I'm really serious. XD But thanks for the clarification!

Just trying to give you idea of the setting more than anything. None of these ideas are final and I like brainstorming with partners so if you have any of your own ideas or suggestions for the future you can always tell me. But I got it. No sharing concrete plans. I'll just surprise you instead. :p

I have a better idea of like the layout of the land and a few of the kingdoms? If you're interested.

Sure, write away! I'm just not comfortable discussing events just before they happen, but worldbuilding is fun. :3

Mmmmmkay so like Eldonia is like the central kingdom? To the east is the forest that can be called whatever and it is enormous, so enormous that it is shared with Eldonia's eastern neighbor, the kingdom of Verinia. Narissa's hollow, basically where Sam and Dorothea would be right now in the IC, is close to the border between Eldonia and Verinia, deep in the forest. Itelia is Eldonia's western neighbor and closest ally, which is why Liam and Dorothea would have grown up together. It's right along the coast so probably lots of merchants and sailing and fishing. Then Eldonia also has southern and northern neighbors (haven't named them yet). The kingdom to the north is a more mountainous, snowy area and the kingdom to the south is like a desert environment. The rest of the land in between are valleys and farmland with plenty of villages. And that's basically the rough outline of Adosia's geography ha.

Hopefully that makes sense?

It does make sense, only I think you might've mixed up east and west a couple times? Either way, what matters I guess is what kingdoms are nearby and where the characters are going. So right now they're all in the middle of the forest, heading toward Eldonia, which is quite a distance away.

Btw I love your latest posts, and I want to match the quality but my brain's not quite working to par right now. Will gather inspiration and post soon, hopefully.

Yeah... I did. Hopefully I fixed it. Basically it's forest and Verinia to the east, ocean and Itelia to the west. Speaking of Itelia I should probably introduce Liam soon~ And yeah they are pretty far from Eldonia's central city (I guess that's where the castle would be). That's why Narissa has those archways so she can get there and back in an instant and not raise suspicions with extended trips into the forest.

And I think your posts have been quite lovely. I, meanwhile, am too obsessed with details. Probably need to rein it in a bit. I keep writing novels. Please don't feel the need to match me ha.

Brilliant! And I sort of accidentally named the stepsister Raquelle, if that's cool. ^^;

Raquelle is a totally fine name. I think I'll introduce Liam within the next few posts to give her a chance on some action.

Hey, a question occurred to me: where is the Queen's dungeon that the guards are supposed to take Dorothea to? Is it at or near the castle?

Um I was thinking it was below Narissa's hollow but it could be closer to the castle. I don't think at would be good it would be too close to anyone who could help her.

Ah yea that does make sense. Right-o then! We'll assume it's under the hollow, back the way they came.
