In a land far far away lies the kingdom of Fiore a small peaceful nation of 17 million and a place filled with magic, found in every home, bought and sold in every marketplace. For most magic is merely a tool a mundane part of everyday life, but for some however magic is an art and they’ve devoted their lives to its practice. These are the wizards, banded together into magical guilds they ply their skills in search of fame and fortune. Many such guilds dot the landscape of Fiore, but there is a certain guild in a certain town that soars high above the rest, one from which countless legends have been born. A guild that will no doubt continue to create legends well into the future, Its name is Fairy Tail. This is not that guild’s story. 100 years ago, the legendary wizard Zeref along with the Slayers plunged the world into to darkness, razing towns and killing many people, the magic council powerless to stop them. An Age of Fear had dawned and the world was powerless to stop the destruction. In a final desperate attempt the remnants of Fairy Tail, Lamia Scale, Sabertooth, Blue Pegasus, and the Magic Council banded together with a plan that would likely cost the lives of all those involved, if it worked at all. They planned to use an ancient magic to seal the powers of the slayers. With little time left they enacted the plan with shocking success and while it cost them dearly with the lives of the guild members, they were able to finally defeat Zeref and the slayers, liberating the world from evil and sealed away the ancient magic for what they thought was forever. In the aftermath of it, few mages were left and those that survived were cast out by society in fear. And were forced to hide their magic, taking mundane jobs to get by. Of course the King’s royal mages remained and Magic was not officially illegal, it became a mark of evil. Thus the King created the Magic Management Council, which kept the few magicians in check with their anti-magic weapons. These anti-magic weapons are just magic weapons, under the guise of anti-magic weapons (in order for the Council to appear better in public view). The council still exists to this day, though with the rise of magic they have once again added wizards to their ranks in order to combat ‘troublemaking’ wizards.
One hundred years have passed, and mages are once again starting to return to the land of Fiore, guilds have started to reform but with few teachers or mentors, the mages are often weak and lacking in comparison to their former glory. A great world of adventure awaits you! Will your name be written in the annals of history or pushed into obscurity? One thing is for certain your comrades and friends will always be with you no matter what hardships you face. Welcome to Phoenix Wing!

1. I assume you are all mature and know the normal rules (ie. no mary-sues, gary-stues, god-modding, etc.)
2. This is not a completely serious roleplay, Fairy Tail-esque humor will be involved things such as the ridiculous magic and personalities are allowed and to an extent expected, but don’t bog down the roleplay by putting jokes where they don’t belong or being downright offensive.
3. Absolutely no canon characters or copycats! Similar magic is allowed, but original magic is encouraged.
4. All magic is classified into Five general levels and up to two higher levels: C, B, A, S; Master, Saint. Do not post a character with S class magic or higher as we are not accepting them at the moment. (for reference, a D class would be Weak Unnamed Guild Members; a C class wizard would be Reedus; B would be Alzack; A would be Gajeel; S would be Gildarts; Master would be at least three types of magic, two at least S level and at least one A level; Saints are specially chosen by higher authorities and is not necessarily based on general magic level)
5. Each Player is allowed one character at the current time.
6. Remember we’re creating a guild, not everyone is going to be as powerful as Gildarts or have the potential to become the next master like Laxus, some will never be stronger (Macao and Wakaba for example aren’t necessarily weak, but they don’t gain strength)
7. Feel free to create other minor guild members (let us know when you do though) and even whole guilds if you want (Though with whole guild ask LordMidget or Dirkinz about it). [Guilds are currently not being accepted, but will be once Phoenix Wing has been established and developed]
