Erik sighed at the knock on the door. He stood up, walking over to the door, slipping his sunglasses on. He opened the door, leaving the light off in his room. He scowled at the person at his door and he said," what?" He folded his arms, eyes narrowed under his sunglasses.

Miranda smiled her prettiest and softly spoke.

"Hi! My name is Miranda and I am checking out to see who my neighbors are. I live next door. But you have the lights off and perhaps you have a terrible migraine? I could give you some headache medicine if you would like some. It won't take me a minute to get it and bring it you with something cool to drink. And speaking of cool. a cool wet wash clothes might help too...."

Katherin wondered the halls looking for her room. She had never been good at following directions. She looked at the paper and the room numbers on the walls as she walked. She seemed to be getting closer.

Ariana was walking quickly, putting as much distance between her roommate and her as possible. She was clenching and unclenching her fists and shaking her hands free of the stress. He was trying to scare you--so calm down, she thought in annoyance. Suspiciously, she glanced at her shadow as it followed her down the hallway and then--crash. She had run into another girl--a red head--who's attention was focused on the room numbers among them. "Oww..." she groaned. She had managed to stay standing; Ariana was built of muscle, but the impact still hurt.

Erik's lips formed a thin line as he watched her talk. He then said," first. Talking that much at one isn't necessary. Second. My vision is built for dark, not light. I'm not meant to be out in this much light." He narrowed his eyes. "Are you a human? It would explain your annoyance. Of chourse, many supernaturals are annoying, but humans more so."

"Yes I am a human, supernatural person. Talking is a form of communication between us humans since we do not have any other powers that allows us to communicate except writing. It is a form of socialization and can be a sign of caring about another being. Perhaps I should ignore all supernaturals since they seem to be insensitive to human feelings. Oh yes! Humans do come in a variety personalities.
I am sorry to have cared and to have disturbed you, supernatural being."

Miranda stepped away for a few feet then made a few notes while ignoring the supernatural being. She noticed two other females in the hall.... one was her room mate.

"No kidding," Ariana muttered--she couldn't admit she wasn't paying because she was scared. She just sighed and shook her head. "It's no big deal, I guess," she added, rubbing at the back o her neck. "Uh, I'm Ariana. Wha--who are you?" She eyed the girl, forcing herself to smile awkwardly. she thought hopefully.

"I apologize. I get lost easily. I have no sense of direction at all." Katherin admitted. "One would think that a shapeshifter would be able to find her away around, but not me. Give me a map and I am guaranteed to be lost within a few seconds. My name is Katherin. Are you one of the humans?"

"Oh. Uh, yeah, human," Ariana confirmed, frowning a bit. Another one, she thought soberly. She glanced back over her shoulder and sighed. "Well, um, I'm sorta good with directions. What are you looking for? I mean, I'm new here, obviously, but yeah," she offered sheepishly, dropping her hand to her side. Maybe she'd learn something about shapeshifters hanging around Katherin.

" I think you will like it here. Most supernaturals ate like humans. Some are good. Some are bad. Once you learn what to look for you'll be fine.

Ariana looked down at the paper and then around at the dorms. "Thanks," she said in response to Katherin's advice. "And, you're on the right track. Your room isn't much farther down--might even be around mine. C'mon." Ariana turned to help the shapeshifter find her room. "So, uh..what can you..change into? People?" she questioned, turning her brown eyes on the girl as she walked.

"Oh. Well that's..kinda cool," Ariana admitted, eyes wide for a moment as she thought about it. "But you don't, like, hurt anyone or anything, do you?" she asked hesitantly. She was raised to fear these things, but Katherin seemed friendly enough--and what harm could a shapeshifter do? Especially when she couldn't even change into another person?

"Well I could." Katherin shivered as the question stirred old memories. Her father had never liked humans he thought them beneath him. He always had no right to survive. "Some shapeshifters do. But I never have. I like people. I would never hurt anyone who didn't attack me."

"Good," Ariana said with a deliberate nod. If she had to have a supernatural roommate, why couldn't it be someone like this? And I'm stuck with a freaky demon, she thought in annoyance. She sighed and rubbed at her head, her eyes flickering to the doors as they walked. "Think your room is just ahead," she added, looking down at the paper again. "Do you need help unpacking or anything?" she offered.

"I dont think so. My father should have taken care of that. He knows that I will spend most of my time searching for where I am suppose to be. He would not want me to worry about unpacking." Katherin explained studying the room numbers. "With the room numbers in order you would think it would be impossible to for me to be as lost as she was.

Ariana blinked at her. "What do you mean? Do you not have much? I think I brought too much--should've finished unpacking but I'm not to fond of my roommate," she explained with a shrug as she stopped in front of a door. "Think this is it," she added, handing the paper back to Katherin.

"Oh..." After a moment she admitted, "I still don't get it. What'd he do?" Is she rich, too? she thought curiously. How would that work? A supernatural being getting rich? Well, if they looked normal enough--like she did--Ariana supposed it'd make sense.
