Either it's warning about events that have happened before (which these HAVE happened before) or it's warning me that some shit is coming my way. Meh, better do what any sensible American would do in this situation... prepare. Thanks, Kaga.

You're welcome.

Aye, she made a thread in your honour, and I jokingly posted the above request in both to see how they would play off each other. It was more for fun than anything, I don't expect an actual reading or anything.Though I'd like to say, the work you're doing here seems quite fine.

Oh, derp. I refreshed Spam before asking that question but for some reason it didn't actually refresh so I didn't see Nargle's thread.

Thanks, though. ^^

Tempest said Alright, I can go for a general reading :3

This spread seems to place a lot of focus on obstacles to progress, though those obstacles were placed there by yourself. The King of Wands and King of Pentacles both represent ambition – the drive to start something or to take on a position of authority. They are separated, however, by The Hanged Man, which represents coming to terms with an unfortunate event. Overlooking all of this is the Knight of Cups, which suggests you may find yourself struggling with moodiness or depression. This may be the obstacle stopping you. While both the Kings urge you to take control and push yourself forward, your own emotions might be holding you back. The Hanged Man suggests that you learn to let go of whatever’s causing these emotions, though, so that you can move forward, and reach the prosperity offered by the two Kings.

Halo said A reading on academic matters/aspirations, if that's okay? Or love life, if you find the traditional tarot question more interesting. :P

Nah, don’t worry about it. Sometimes it’s more fun to do the more specific or unusual ones. Academic matters/aspirations it is. ^^

Leading with The Sun, this spread seems to suggest that you may find yourself not placing enough trust or confidence in your own abilities.

The Wheel of Fortune suggests that not much has been changing lately. You’re finding yourself in a time of little change, or perhaps stagnation. As the Six of Cups suggests, though, you may not find this problematic. The Six of Cups often represents nostalgia and contentment with the past, signifying that you find yourself content with how things have played out up until this point (or that you will feel that way in the near future). However, the Five of Pentacles warns of danger ahead – a bump in the road, a setback, some sort of challenge that throws you way off base. It’s possible this is what The Sun is trying to warn you about. If you don’t build more confidence in yourself, you might not be able to get over the hurtle ahead. You’re content with the past, but it’s time to look towards the future.

Kaga said ^^Oooh boy. Here goes. The two halves of this spread seem to show two very different situations for yourself - you in the present and near future, and the potential you in the far future. For now, the Knight of Wands is representative of yourself. You have drive and you have goals (ie: becoming the great Spam member that you envision yourself as in the future), but said goals are seen as being rather silly by most. Furthermore, you're having a hard time reaching said goals. The Four of Cups provides more insight to this, as it suggests that your actions are turning a stable situation unstable. In other words, you're trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist, making no change at best and hurting the situation further at worst. Such is characteristic of your attempts to "improve" a Spam forum which is already bouncing back. Lastly though, in the further future, we have the Ten of Pentacles, which represents the Spam reception you currently yearn for, when you become a popular and respected member. There certainly seems to be quite the wide gap between these two versions of yourself, however. Bridging that gap is The Chariot, a card about control and reigning in your impulses. It advises control, and not rushing so hastily into things like the Knight of Wands and Four of Cups suggest you may be doing. Control yourself as The Chariot recommends, and you may reach the future shown in the Ten of Pentacles.

So, you're saying I should keep making a bunch threads that I think are cool ideas, but everyone else think they are annoying?

No, my interpretation of the cards advises you to do the exact opposite, really. :I

Leading with The Sun, this spread seems to be urging you to place more trust in your abilities, or to learn from a past mistake.

The three cards beneath it clearly show a chronological series of events: hardship => dwelling on this hardship => intense emotional regret that could destroy you. The Five of Pentacles represents a difficult setback or rough patch in your life, most likely one that has either already happened or one that you’re currently getting over. The Six of Cups and Five of Cups both suggest dwelling on the past, though while the Six of Cups depicts it as a minor, perhaps even healthy regret, the Five of Cups shows intense emotional regret that could lead to depression or other related hardships – thus suggesting a progression of events. Dwelling on the past conflict shown in the Five of Pentacles could lead to the heavy emotional troubles shown in the Five of Cups.

Now let’s bring this back to The Sun, which may be offering a solution. Since this card represents enlightenment and learning from one’s mistakes, as well as trusting in one’s abilities, it may be urging you to take your past troubles, learn from them, and then leave them in the past. Don’t let them hinder your confidence and make you think worse of yourself; you overcame those struggles, after all, and remembering that can help you avoid the Five of Cups.

I apologize for my lateness. I thought this thread had died.

Also, I know little about the Arena, so sorry if I have a hard time making sense of the cards in such a context.

This spread seems to be about failing to take advantage of opportunities, or just being blind to your options.

To start, we have the Six of Pentacles - the card of giving and receiving advice. Below that, we have the Two of Pentacles and the Two of Wands, which both refer to difficulty making choices. In the Two of Pentacles' case, it means feeling like you've run out of options. In the Two of Wands' case, it means an inability to decide between the choices you have - feeling as if neither brings a good outcome. Between both of these Twos, though, we have The Fool, which is the card of limitless possibilities, as well as spontaneity and disregard for logic.

Putting it all together, it looks as if you feel trapped - like your options are dwindling and you're not sure what you can do to win a fight, but, as the Six of Pentacles points out, you're failing to take advantage of something right in front of you - The Fool, encouraging you to look at everything that can be done with a limitless medium like forum roleplaying and really think outside the box. So, it seems that taking advantage of some of those possibilities is what you need to do in order to give yourself an edge. However, the Two of Wands comes after The Fool, not before, so it is possible that even after doing this, the answer still won't be clear. It's just that this time, instead of feeling like you have too few options, you have too many, and can't decide on which one would be best.
Semi-related note for anyone who cares: Yesterday I got a henna tattoo of the Libra sign on the back of my right hand. It makes me feel like I'm doing a much more authentic job with all this.
