A source of ultimate power. Two strangers in our midst. A rebellion waiting to boil over.

The city was silent. Quiet. Dead. It held no life nor any other. To the outside observer, it was an eerie place. Massive structures scraped the dark sky above and a single pale moon served its purpose of giving light to the city below. Most of the buildings were destroyed; nothing but twisted ruins of their former selves. No one came to this place unless they wanted to die, wanted to think, or had nowhere to go. The only inhabitants of this place were the numerous statues of angels all around. Some were pristine, some were in worse condition, and still some were rumored to move all on their own, giving the place a creepy atmosphere.

This was Vishnu the Forgotten City.

A red portal opened up in the middle of the wasteland and out stepped a peculiar figure. At first glance, he gave off the impression of a cowboy in travel. Which in actuality, was probably the most appropriate statement. He wore a pair of brown pants, boots, and longcoat with a blue shirt underneath. A dusty cowboy hat crowned his messy black hair. The image was completed with a black eye-patch over his right eye and a pair of silver handguns positioned at each side of his hips, hidden by holsters.

In short, Drax Cooper was not a pleasant man. Nor did he want to give out the appearance that he was one. He'd rather be left alone to wander around. That's all.

"Aw jeez, not another hell hole."

That's exactly what described Vishnu. An empty hell hole with creepy statues lying around. Fun. Drax took a few steps forward to explore the place a bit more. He'd heard about Vishnu from other travelers, but didn't expect it to be so...depressing. Not that he didn't mind the silence though. More thoughts for himself.

"If I don't find anything of value here, I'm heading back. No use in wasting my time.

A yellow flash appeared in mid air, and after moments, a figure stepped out. This figure was a woman with black hair and hazel eyes. She didn't give off any oddities unless one counted the pale gray lab coat she was wearing over blue jeans and a solid red shirt. Over her shoulder was a satchel containing a few pencils and pens, a notebook and a small, but thick book. Her simple shoes made soft sounds on the stone ground as she took a few steps forward. Before she went any further, the young woman shuffled through her bag and pulled out her notebook. On the front cover, it was labeled Nala Turner . She flipped through a few pages and scribbled some information down.

"Barren. Grey. Angel statues... angel statues." She circled that in order to look it up later.

Nala pushed her long black hair behind her ears and she tucked a pencil behind the left ear. She slowly made her way through the barren city- the ghost city- glimpsing at all the stone and crumbled statues. Her excitement increased when the ones that looked new were all fresh and untouched. Hopefully, when she looked at it, it would reveal somethings about...at least the city. Luckily, one statie did have the name of the city:
Vishnu.
That was scribbled into her notebook as well, before replacing it with the book. "Hmm, anything on Vishnu?" Her informational book couldn't provide anything and she sighed. "Truly a forgotten city. I must peg this as a place to research."

She was a curious woman; always wondering how things worked and why. Being able to teleport through the dimensions helped with that most of the time, but it did get fairly quiet doing it all alone. So, to every dimension she jumped into, she would always make a friend just for the sake of it. Currently, Nala was perched high in order to see the entire area at a good distance from where she perched. It was then when she saw the flash of hair and someone walking away. "Whoa, someone is here?" She raised a curious eyebrow awaiting for something interesting to happen. But seeing that never happened, Nala cleared her throat. Instead of calling out, she whistled to get the figure's attention. Maybe they were useful to the forgotten city.

Or maybe they were wonders like she was. Either way, she didn't want to leave with just the artifact details...though that have been the case.
Oddly enough, stuff like this was normal for her. She'd always go to different dimensions and ask the inhabitants about the world.

"....can this place get any more eerie? I'm into silence and all,
but this is a bit excessive, don't you think?"

Drax continued his trek through the city, eyes scanning for something either of interest or amusement to him. Honestly he had no real reason to traverse he different worlds. Not for power or exploration, or anything lowly that. Truth was that he didn't know why he traveled so much. It was probably to get away from other people. Much too noisy for him.

"Heh, looks like I ended up getting what I wanted. A nice and quiet place to take a nap. Now if only there weren't any of those loud popping sounds...wait, was that gunfire? An enemy?"

Well, yes and no.

On one hand, Drax was completely correct in his assumption of guns being fired. Of course, it took him all of five seconds to realize that it was he himself who had just fired such guns. Looking up to where he fired off at, the traveler could have sworn he heard some kind of whistling sound before his instincts kicked in. At that, he mentally groaned. Instincts. Of course. It was always that. He had taught himself long ago to shoot first and ask later. So of course the whistle triggered his hand, firing off three clean bullets in the direction of origin.

Resisting the urge to facepalm, he climbed up the high area with the whistle, hoping the receiver of said bullets either dodged them somehow were still alive to he point he could apologize.

"Nice. This is real nice all right. Not even a full minute here and I'm already involved in a gunfight. Wonderful."

Taking into account the threat of a possible enemy as well as ally, Drax took one handgun and skulked through the ruins carefully and with ease until he was hiding the corner.

"They better not be some cop or anything..."

With that said, Drax emerged from his hiding spot and aimed his fun directly on the face of....a girl?

In response to her whistle, three shots were fired toward her. Light on her toes, Nala jumped onto another pillar in order to dodge them. "Must've scared it or something.." Nala checked her clothing to make sure she wasn't hit anywhere. Thankfully, she wasn't.

"Or it was just rude..." She hoped this wasn't the case. The girl didn't feel like fighting for her life.

In the process of her quick thought of survival, she had dropped her notebook and it fell to the ground. She climbed down the pillars and grabbed it. "I can't afford to lose this." Upon getting up, Nala heard a shift in movement in front of her and looked up to see...a gun...right in her face. This only made her sigh. "I can assure you, I'm not going to attack you or anything."

Her eyes scanned over the male that was holding the gun, and she immediately gave a look of disappointment. He looked as human as she did. He couldn't possibly know anything about the city. Well, it looked like she would have to take what she had. "I can also assure you, I'm perfectly capable of defending myself if you try anything stupid."

She dusted off her notebook and placed it in her satchel.

Drax stared at the dark haired girl for a moment longer before frowning and putting his gun back on his holster. A girl? No, a human girl? Drax was under the impression that Vishnu no longer had any living residents, let alone those of the human variety. Another traveler like him. Giving off an annoyed sigh of his own, he studied over the girl briefly, taking note of her satchel and book.

"Sorry if I scared you," he muttered.

"Though if you were some kind of monster, I guess it wouldn't have made a real difference. Better safe than sorry."

Drax adjusted his hat before allying past the girl in the other direction. "Don't get yourself killed," was all he said to her before going on his own again. He really didn't have the time or patience to deal with someone else.

"I really don't have the time or patience to be dealing with someone else. Whoever she was, it's not my problem."

"You're fine."

She responded to his scared comment. Judging by how he held himself, he seemed like a man of only few words,  if any at all. It was further proven when he bid her good luck and walked off in the land of nowhere. He must've been really upset about something, or in deep thought because she was almost sure no one would want to spend their time in a ghost city like this.

Nala watched him go, about to end their conversation at that. Near the statues the random male shot, she noticed one was silently crumbling. It was giving out, and judging by the tilt, it would fall right on the male.

"Hey! Look out!" Acting on instinct, she pulled the whip out from behind her lab coat and managed to hit grab him with it. With enough force, she managed to yank him backwards just as it fell.

"And you're telling me not to get myself killed." She shook her head and walked over to him, mainly pulling and coiling the rope off him. "You alright?" She asked s she got close enough to him.

"Weird girl. Whoever she was, she must be another traveler or something. Maybe a tourist. Doesn't matter. It's not my problem. Then again...why am I still thinking about he-"

His thoughts were rudely interrupted as something strong coiled around his ankle and yanked him backwards. A moment later, a loud crumbling was heard where he was standing just a second ago. Slightly glaring, Drax looked up at the face of his savior. It was the girl again. Getting up and brushing himself off, he have the girl a long stare.

"You have a crush on me or something? Or do you always save complete and random strangers in desolate cities?" Not really caring for her answer either way, he shrugged and extended his hand.

"Thanks for that though. Name's Drax Cooper. I take it you're a traveler too?"

"Damnit! I interacted with her twice! In the same day! That means we're either meant to meet or I need her for something. Meet once and it's coincidence. Meet twice..."

Of course, he didn't voice this personal philosophy of his aloud. Why would he? The only one who believed it was him anyway....

Suddenly he stiffened slightly, as if the atmosphere around then had changed by just a bit.
A gray portal emerged somewhere not too far away and out stepped a being in golden armor. His hair was equally the same tone as his attire, with blood red eyes that held no humor or joy. His mere presence alone was enough to increase the pressure, causing the air to get thick.

Indeed, the one known as Asgard, second in command to the Ultimatum, was to be feared througout the Omniverse. And right now, he was playing the role of judge, jury, and executioner. Walking forward, he began his given task.

Hunt down the One Who Dares to Defy God's Will. The Rebel.
