[IC] The Queen and Messenger Nine Tasks

[Aisling]

Queen Kalliste was so bored that she actually was in the garden in spite of the heat. The servants were watering her flowers so that she could enjoy them. Her dress was one of the prettiest dresses that was ever made. The tiara and jewels were of the highest quality that can be found. She had everything a young lady could want except that her husband was an old man who did nothing at all other than ruling his kingdom. The king had fallen in love with Kalliste when he heard her sing in the garden of her parent's home. He made an offer for her hand and her parents accepted it. Kalliste did not know who it was that she was to marry because her parents wanted her to be surprised. Of course Kalliste was so surprised that she actually fainted when she found out on her wedding day that she was to marry the King. She was so overcome with emotions that she could barely finish the ceremony at all.

Now after a year of being the Queen, Kalliste was wanting something more than what she had. But what?
Kalliste sat down on the edge of her fountain and dipped her hand into the water. The fish came to her hand since she fed them often. She smiled as she trialed her hand in the water and watched the fish swim around her hand.

Hermes huffed angrily as the king refused to talk to him about something that Zeus demanded on. he scowled and stormed into the garden and lunged into a tree sadly "stupid messengers job" he scowled and looked at his staff and closed his eyes slightly. His pet hawk flew over and caws gently at him slowly and landed on his shoulder and stayed close.

He noticed a girl with fish and riased eyebrowe, what an odd lady she was. He clears his voice "hello fair maiden who might you be?"

[Aisling]

Queen Kalliste tilted her head towards the voice.
"Good Day to you, young man. I am Queen Kalliste. How did you mange to get inside of my private garden?"

Queen Kalliste shook her hand dry and stood up to walk to the young man. She then noticed the hawk.

"That is a very nice hawk that you have there...."

"queen ? you don't look very happy" dsaid and flipped off the tree and landed on the ground with his winged sandles shine. "I am here to give your husband a messeange he refueses to talk to me" said slowly. and bowed his head in respect slowly to the fair fema;le she was.

"I am Hermes, this is my pet hawk, haven't given him a name yet"

[Aisling]

"How rude. Normally he is concerned with messages from the gods. But tell me about it and I'll speak to him later. It is the least I can do for you." Queen Kalliste smiled as she ignored the remark about being unhappy. She clapped her hands twice and her servants came at once then hurried off.
"Come and have afternoon tea with me, Hermes."

The god blinked slowly and smiles "alright I shall love some tea" he said pleasently as he fallows her and shooed off his hawk that flew off into the air and away into a large tree. he smiles gently and sat down at the table blinking gently. "I am sorry for any incovenoice"

[Aisling]

"It is no problem at all, Hermes. I am often by myself and I could use the company." Queen Kalliste spoke as she sat down and the servants began to serve them.
"please help yourself to what ever you would like, please."

"I'm not really that Hungry but would love some tea" smiles gently his green eyes shine gently in the wind. "so why are you alone most of the time?"

[Aisling]

"A Queen must be protected at all times. Particularly if she may be pregnant. I am here to produce an heir for the King. I have many servants and pretty things. I just want a friend to talk to and do things with. Mind if I have a few little cakes. They are really delicious, you know....
Tell why you came here and how I can help you." Queen Kalliste asked as she took a bit sized cake to eat.

"the gods wish to telol the king that an aicnet w=evil is rising in his lands and we would like to take a patrol of the land. he said for me to leave and even i can't diosbey a humans command" he said slowly smiling gently looking at the queen "Eh I don't think thats the only think your here for. Yeah have any cakes"

[Aisling]

"Then why else would my parents let an old man marry me? I mean except for prestige and power. I can't think of anything else and I have had plenty of time to think about it. Not that I should complain.
What ancient evil is rising? Why should the gods be concerned with this kingdom?" Queen Kalliste asked as she picked up another cake.

The god smiles gently "titans the gods are concerned that the king could be working with tht tiants so we are on our toes right now with him" smiles gently blinking slowly.

[Aisling]

"Oh..... I am not allowed to talk about such things. In fact I am not suppose to talk about anything that may be disturbing. The King says so because my body is precious home for his Heir to Be." Queen Kalliste spoke sadly as she stood up.
"Come walk with me for a while. Unless you have to go report to someone......"

The god looked at her slowly a she talked, she was needed more then to be there to make babies, he wouldn't stand for such an answer. Every human placed on for different reasons and he believed she was different then most girls he meet.

"Lead the way" he said gently smiling looking around slowly as he would fallow her to wherever she would take him too.

[Aisling]

Queen Kalliste walked along the pathway and into an aviary. She smiled at Hermes and lead him into the outer room of the aviary.

"Come in my Aviary. This is the first room and will hold any bird that might happen to escape. I have a net over here to catch the little birds and I put it back in through this small door. Let's go inside the main house and watch the birds for a while. They are very pretty and fly free. I have many plants in here. I have 3 rooms with various kinds of birds. The first room here houses my tiny birds like hummingbirds, flycatchers and finches. They love to sing." Kalliste spoke as she walked inside. A few birds swoop down towards her and she held out her hand. The tin birds landed on her hands and body.

He fallowed looking at the birds slowly and a parrot landed on his head and sat there slowly. He smiles gently looking around slowly "well I'm not here to cause any trouble but the gods are troubled by the kings relentless to talk to us" said slowly gently looking down slowly.

[Aisling]

"I won't be able to speak to him until dinner time. But this kind of subject will have to wait until I go to bed with him." she sighs as she sits down on a bench.
"I am only afraid that he will tell me not to worry my pretty little head about such things then his mind wanders off ... well he wants to other things besides talking in the bedroom. i'll do my best to tell him that an ancient evil is rising up, It would be in his best interest to take heed in the concerns of the gods. They usually know much more than mortal beings..... Now how to put it in a way that he will understand that I am very concerned of these ancient evil.....
What kind of an ancient evil is it that is rising exactly?"

"It's the titans that I am speaking of. The first gods" said slowly smiling gently eyes glow brightly and eyes shine brightly. Looking around slowly thinking about the world that they lived in it. Hermes was always very careful in everything he did but couldn't help but like the queen.

[Aisling]

"I didn't know that they were even concern with Earth beings! Why should the Titans want this area? We barely scrape by as a small country.....
Are they the ones who made the Earth?" Kalliste asked as she pondered the idea of having some kind of a war with gods.

"The place where the gods can't go. It took a lot for me to get here. The titans want the earth as their own " he said gently looking at her softly. A smile on his lips gently as he stares at him gently.
