I ran an RP on a different site that didn't get very far as people slowly began losing interest in the site itself (it was a site I set up for a group of my rp friends to be able to rp on our own). The general idea is that the world is torn by conflict of two different groups, those who are against the learning, teaching and use of magic; and those who would not see the end of magic in the world. That would be the overall plot however it is also generation based, in that characters age and die and then their legacy is taken over by their sons or daughters or even grandchildren. Each generation will cover a main plot point so this can keep going for quite a while. Each generation or major part of the plot will be covered by a Chapter, and there can be multiple chapters in one generation. It was a lot of fun when I had it going and when people would stay active, unfortunately my rp friends lost interest in the site itself which lead to its inevitable demise. I'm really hoping that won't happen here. The map is still open to ideas. If you have a town or city you would want to add you can still do so.

A group of extremist mages used dark magic to reawaken and unseal a very old and powerful dragon known as Nolsu'umwahlaas, meaning "From Breath, to Life". He was the first dragon and the Ancient ruler of Ellira back when dragons were the dominant species. It creates a very powerful reverberation that attracts the attention of you adventurers and as such you are drawn to the epicenter. Upon arriving you find the ruins of the city that stood and no dragon but do find evidence to lead you in the right direction. This pushes you to band together to find answers and stop this ancient dragon from accomplishing his goal of conquering the world under his bloody reign once more. This will ultimately lead to the formation of the Dragon Order, a group of heroes with the common goal of maintaining peace among the people of Ellira and stopping any force which may threaten that peace.
