Edit: Now it's not and I still have no idea what I'm looking at still. My best guess is long division of some sort(?)

Ah, now it's fixed. Yeah, it's because you're "dividing into" endless zeroes. Nothing ever changes. Therefore, if you end up with the same remainder twice at any point (which isn't unlikely) you'll go into a loop. Also, that isn't pi, just to say. Maybe a rough approximation, but not actually pi.

Yeah... Clirkus is calculating the decimal version of 22/7 as an approximation of Pi, using long division, and has found that the decimal is "142857" infinitely recurring.
