Pop quiz! Who's everyone's favorite Real Life pirate?

Mine's Calico Jack :) a bit of trivia, The Black Pearl's pirate flag is actually the same one Calico Jack used, he was also in "Pirates of the Caribbeam: Curse of the Black Pearl." He was the hung pirate outside of port royal holding the sign that says "pirates, ye be warned" which was an actual historical event.

Favorite Pirate: Blackbeard. He actually did this kinda stuff simply to build up a fearsome reputation, so that he didn't have to kill anybody to get what he wanted. The clip is from AC4.

Also, can I just make up other island names as we go, if only for the sake of lyric-changing? Most of the songs Ray is singing are re-worded versions of all those pirate songs I provided. The only two islands I knew were Hara (where we just came from) and Lendria (Ray's home island), and I was worried making up a new Island (Ventra) was stepping on the toes of Aki's idea of the world.

I haven't seen a single Pirates of Caribbean movie or if I have it was long ago and I don't remember. What got me in the mood for a pirate RP was a lot of Voltaire music. Moby Dick helped too since I had to read it for school xD

Hmmm I don't really have an all time favorite but William Kidd was the first one I learned of (thanks to Sid Meier's Pirates of all things) so I suppose that's the closets I have.

I actually did a little research beforehand Fox as my knowledge was limited.
