I'm not necessarily thinking of better quest rewards, she's just a bit of a coward cautious individual, so would probably avoid the fight if she found an excuse.

I bet they only go because Tsukiya can't NOT go fight the boss.

I'd suggest Tsukiya drag the two of them along to this meeting, or else they'll have no reason to go XD Then we can meet Scarifar's character there.
