It's such a pain to get people to watch videos when you want them to. For example, I'm not going to watch that video OP. Despite the title of the thread and your endorsement, it's not going to happen.

I know many videos that just pop up on my list of things to watch in youtube that I never do.

Almost always it leads to funnier videos.

For instance, back when I was super into homestuck and had been watching some vids Octoopimp showed up. Of course, I subscribed and watched his other stuff until a series named 50% OFF came along that was an abridged version of that swimming show FREE.

Suffice to say, 50% OFF had tons of drug references and decent enough writing.

Of course, there is also the weird shit my brother shows me that somehow led to me enjoying this un-ironically.

I feel it has something to do with videos having a set amount of time to them that you can see, additionally I am aware I need to be in the right mood to watch videos as they have a pace independent of me unlike the textual format. That can be daunting if I'm tired, unprepared, or largely uninterested. There's probably more than that, but it doesn't readily occur right now.
