Katherin was excited about going to her new school. Ever since her powers appeared she had been struggling to control them. Living on the streets made it easier to hide her ability, but she was tired of trying to hid. When she heard there was a special school for kids like her, Katherin began making her way to it. It had taken her almost a week to walk from the city she was in to the schools location. But now that she had made it Katherin hoped they would let her in the door.

Alen was standing outside of the entrance to the facility. He sighed. He was glad he was going to have a place where he'd be safe, but he was sad to leave his friends and family, at least he hoped he'd be safe. He didn't know a thing about it... he sighed again, and opened the doors. He stepped in, but then he heard footsteps behind him. Possibly another person that'd be staying here? He hoped so. He turned around and saw a girl walking towards the entrance. "Are you another person who's gonna be staying here?" he asked. He hoped the answer was a yes, because a friend would be nice, he'd already left so many behind.

"Yes this is going to be my new home. They are going to help me learn to control my ability." Katherin replied with a smile. "I am glad to see I am not the only new person."

Serafina and Meifeng slowly stroll up to the school building not quite sure what to make of it yet. Serafina's eyes grow wider the closer they get to the huge building. Meifeng's eyes dart around not sure what to make of the situation. "Be careful." she says sternly to her younger sister.

"I don't really need much help with my ability, but sometimes I do break out in different colors when my emotions get really strong...' he said, pausing for a moment. "So what's your power? Mine is changing color at will."

"Wow. It must be nice to have that kind of control. I really don't seem to have much control over my ability. I can create snow and ice. Well sort of. I can never get my powers to do exactly what I want them to do. My name is Katherin. Can I ask your name?"

Alen smiled. "I'm Alen Stawford." he said. "I left a lot of friends back in New York, so I hope to make a lot of friends here. I suppose you'll be one of them...?" he said wih a slight chuckle.

"It's nice to meet you Alen. I haven't had very many friends. So I am looking forward to having the chance to make many friend." Katherin told him. "Could you help me find the door?"

"I think it will be better then living in the streets." Katherin told him. "I think it will be wonderful to have a place to belong. I am looking forward to getting to know others like us."

"Agreed. I used to live in an apartment in New York, and it was pretty cramped." he said as he opened the door to the facility and helped Katherin in. "So I atleast hope our rooms aren't small and cluttered."

"I would be happy with any room. I have lived on the streets most of my life." Katherin explained.

"Welcome children I a the housekeeper here. I will show you your room and you can get settled. We will not start the regular schedule until tomorrow." An older woman greeted them.

Alen heard the Housekeeper tell them that she would show them to their rooms, so he followed. "You think you need help getting to whatever room this 'Housekeeper' is assigning?" he asked, wondering wether or not she'd be able to find her way to her room.

((So, I think the server lag was patched up, according to the News forum. That means we can get this going :D))
"Huh?" Sylvia looked out from the windowsill and at the several newcomers from a corridor on the second floor. Two of them seemed to be heading inside while the other two were spying on them from a distance. "More newcomers.." she muttered to herself, dropping onto the ground and heading back down the hallway. Part of her wanted someone else to overhear her talking to herself, but since it was somewhat early in the morning, it wasn't too probable something like that would happen.
As the 3 inch girl made her way downstairs, she let out a loud huff when she passed by the two strangers and the housekeeper. It was loud to her, at least; what came out was a barely audible murmur at most.

Alen was walking down the hallway, following this 'housekeeper' towards their new rooms. As he was walking, a small girl passed by, huffing rather loudly. When she passed, he looked back at her, but then he shrugged his shoulders and continued walking.

Katherin paused and tilted her head. She thought she heard something. Almost like a tiny sigh. What could have caused that. She listened some more but the sound didn't repeat so she figured that she had misheard.
